I'm glad your okay, but I hit the pavement wearing a tee shirt light pants at 70 mph,I can show what real road rash is like, they put me in a tub and brushed the wounds with a brush and soap,I was a kid,but still,it was embarrassing and painful, still have scars, where my skin was ground down,I was smoking, from the heat, really

I got a similar scar years ago - give it a few more years and even you won't be able to see it.
And after your experience I'm sure you'll agree with me that prevention is so much better than cure!
Feet/ankles, knees, hands and elbows are the main areas that really need protecting as these are the bits that really affect your life badly when they go wrong. Add hips/thighs and shoulders to the list if you wish.
Getting sweaty is a lot better than getting injured ;)
looking at the placement of the arms to steering, i can see how the arms are vulneranable during a tip over. perhaps armpads are in order when riding tadpole trikes.
I thought your comment was rather hillarious, but the other one abt Parkinson's disease in my other video was totally uncalled for. Very kind of you ya? Hope God blesses you the same way you comment on other's.
wow how much blood did she lose did she get air lifted u fucking idot i thought she was going to get hit by car or something "Tricycle Tragedy" take this shit off u tube!!
i rolled mine and slid 40 ft down a curb. my rash wasn't as deep but it went from head to toe including one arm... i feel for you. so remember fast up hill slow down hill
i am just now healing from an even bigger patch of road rash, ON MY BUTT! i totally feel your pain when i see the expression on your face in the video
Glad to year the elbow is fine. Road rash is nasty.
Like you, I found that as good as a delta trike corners, they can still tip. I >>> LOVE <<< my trike, but I'm still learning to take corners fast.
For the uninitiated, delta trikes can corner *much* better than 2-wheeled bikes, but they're not immune from tipping if you go fast enough and turn hard enough, even if you lean into it.
i think it's coz i got confused and tried to handbrakes when i was turning, so it made me flip... i've got a perma scar now. tsk tsk... but yeah.. it was sure fun!
aaaah! sounds like Bobby McF doing a little bit of bumble.

Four reasons you flipped:
1) Design flaws in the machine itself.
2) Inexperience with the vehicle.
3) Adding an after-market engine to a machine designed for pedal speeds.
4) Asian ethnicity.
#4 is offensive? It's a proven stereotype.
Name an Asian race car driver....I'm still waiting!
White men can't jump. Asians are good at math.
Both are stereotypes. Both have their exceptions.
Asians drivers on the other hand...

ITS NOT A DELTA TRIKE! It's a TADPOLE trike design.
Tadpole design (2 in front, one in back)
Delta design (one in front, two in back)
Delta's roll MUCH easier.
Tadpole design flaws:
1) Driver weight it too far forward (They ENDO when you nail the brakes)
2) Left/Right braking systems cause rollovers (pull one brake = jackknife)
3) narrow front wheel footprint causes high center of gravity (rollover)
KMX is the only company I've ever seen that remedied all this.

I like how you put a motor on it. re: wreck=Better feet first than head first I guess.

Those things are cool. I thought they are really hard to tip over though.

After I flipped the first time (at low speeds, just scratched my palm up), I experiemented with braking and turning.
I've since learned about brake steering and am learning that under controlled conditions. (Call me a chicken!)
You have power assist on that trike? What kind?
rithban 4 years ago
ouch, might want to consider elbow protectors.

it's been a mth now and my elbow's fine... phew. good thing it's my inner elbow and can't really be seen. :) glad it's just the elbow.
