  • I don't know what it is, but when I feel depressed, I listen to this audio on repeat. Feels good, like you get to hang out with the guy who things can't get any worse.

  • What song is that?

  • Can a 13 year old see this movie?

  • iv seen a lot of shitty situations in my life ...

  • nocturne no. 20?

  • @evileaten the piece is Frederic Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2. and one of my favorites. I love how it's implemented in the movie with this beginning scene and the scene where Willy is shot on Thurman's doorstep. I think Bad Santa is a great raunchy-feel-good movie.

  • I love this movie, especially the opening scene, that and the one where he's on the 'Santa's' chair lol

  • What a great fucking movie!! I believe the opening scene is better without any narative though.

  • 1 person is a good santa

  • Does anyone know where this opening scene is? Where is this pub?

  • @Seventhsonofamaiden It is probably a film set AKA not a real pub.

  • @Seventhsonofamaiden It is probably a film set AKA not a real pub.

  • Terry Zwigoff is a genius

  • something about Billy Bob is magnetic, and lets face it, he did bonk Angelina for a long time, so he's got SOMTHING GOING ON, that the rest of us dont! Funny film, just by the way!

  • One of the most underrated movies I've ever seen.

  • Much love to John Ritter and Bernie Mac. You guys were awesome in this movie... and are missed.

  • without that beautiful song at the begining this movie just wouldn't be the same beautiful song and the writers of this movie are geniuses

  • what is the bacground musiv call ?

I like it and it's so classical

  • Choplin - Nocturne in E Flat Minor Op. 9 No. 2

  • @revjimjesus - It's "Chopin" not "Choplin" But yes this piece is lovely! I can play it :)

  • This truly summed it all up. It is conveys my life almost to the T and nails how I feel. Thanks for posting it...perfect.

  • Thanx Melinda and Memphis -- I knew I could come here to find out the music. I love that someone knows the proper name It is a most glorious juxtapostion, one of the best opening scenes in the history of comedy.

  • This is the true spirit of Christmas

  • lol description

  • The opening scene is just priceless and sets the mood for the rest of this brilliant movie.

  • This is kinda off topic, but does anyone know the name of the song playing?

The same song is in a scene in The Nines.

  • Nocturne In E-flat

  • Chopin Nocturne in Eb

  • These were the Comedy Central edits (changed words are written in BIG letters):

I was once drafted by Lyndon Johnson and had to live in Mexico for 2 1/2 years for no reason.", "I've seen some pretty LOUSY situations in my life, but nothing has ever sucked WORSE than this. "If I had known I was gonna have to put up with a bunch of screaming brats SITTING on my lap...", "My dad never did SQUAT with his life",

  • i can't watch movies like this on cable tv with all the editing out, i would rather just go to blockbuster and rent it

  • PeoplesElbow316 . "Pissing on my lap" numb nuts.

  • yeah i said on the TV version he says "sitting"

  • I've lost count the number of times I've seen this movie. Classic.

  • @Frowned I loved your comment and i love uncle Willy!

  • Hmm... I only saw this movie earlier this week, and if you only watched the opening scene, you wouldn't know it was a comedy. I thought it was a modern Film Noir until he pissed himself.

  • Does anyone know the name of the music in the background of this scene?

  • Nocturne in E flat major, Op. 9, No. 2 by Frédéric Chopin

  • thanks man,but I actually researched it more thoroughly after I left that comment and found it.Its a great song, cheers!

  • this movie wasnt as bad (in a negative way) as i thought, its pretty sad actually.

  • Its pretty depressing.

  • If I had known I was gonna have to put up with a bunch of screaming brats pissing on my lap for 30 days out of the year. I'd have killed myself a long time ago.
