  • I have tried this a few times. I am not a bodybuilder, I am an endurance oriented athlete running marathons and ultras, and this sandwich absolutely rocks!!!!!! After a long run of maybe 30 or so kms, it really replenishes in such a great way the body and helps it to repair. With an ice cold tall glass of milk...absolutely one of my favorite treats after a weekend long run. Great vids man...keep it coming. Greetings from Ecuador!

    i recently found wholewheat tortillas.. 104 calories per tortilla, low GI carbohydrate. what i do with it is use something like guacamole or hummous as a spread, then slices of chicken and some salad.. obviously you can do whatever you like with it, but thats what i do :P

  • Suppose body fat is not an issue and one has the metabolism to burn fat incredible fast so it never accumulates. When selecting foods to increase muscle, could I completely ignore the fat content and just seek out the best of everything else?

  • just check the ingredient list. should be just peanuts and whatever oil it's swimming in. you definitely have to stir this peanut butter to combine it, otherwise, it'll stay very loose or runny on top, and dry out as you get to the bottom of the jar. The commerical brands add the sugars, hydrogenated oils and fillers so that the peanut butter stays consistent and creamy from top to bottom. It looks nice, but all that filler stuff is garbage.

  • you forgot to really mention that peanutt butter is not just something good you can eat once in a while its actually healthy, it contains lot of good fats. for a bodybuilder, peanutt butter would be considered a source of good fat, not something unhealthy. but its important that is organic and or NATURAL peanutt butter!!! All regular commercial peanutt butters are processed and have had the good fat turned bad. So you must get organic and natural peanutt butter at like a healthfood store.

  • @Tangylives Where did i ever mention an "unnatural peanut" ?? Nowhere. Regular commercial peanutbutters consist only of x% peanuts. The rest are unhealthy artificial additives, flavourings & sweeteners. Peanut butter isn't healthy unless its all natural. All natural meaning 100% peanutts.

    Not sure about the other reply. Peanut butter is not very high in protein.

    I would imagine it has more to do with taste and getting more nutrients (since there would be no fats without the peanut butter).

    That being said, peanut butter is an decent fat source, but generally a source of the omega fats that we DO get enough of. So definitely something that one should moderate.

  • @undedmunky Yeah I live in Pearl Miss, and I live with my aunt, so I am trying to get more say so in what gets bought and no idea if they have one of those stores here. I am just trying to get opinions from everyone on what to buy, for a good shopping list next time I go. Right now I have all the equipment I need and I know a lot about working out, but nothing about the diet. i have a protein supplement, whey protien powder, and i am taking a multivitamin as well.

    just buy normal peanuts, shell alot of them, and roast them, and then blend them.

    its what i do and put it in a air tight jar and it will last you months.

    You are probably used to the peanut butter that is hydrogenated and full of sugar, like Skippy, Peter Pan, or Jiff.

  • Thanks for the video. Bodybuilding diets are tedious to plan and most of the foods take hours to prepare from scratch. Quality nutrients with the convenience of sandwich portability is a great idea.

  • it's because it's all natural. PB with added sugar like skippy, jif etc... have added sugar and palm oil which keeps it from running. Organic PB is much tastier and worth the extra buck or two

  • I agree 100%. completely cutting out fat is stupid. if you lift with intesity and do interval cardio you won't need to. I regularly eat avacado, extra lean ground beef, almonds, peanuts, egg yolk (2 a day) and mayonaise and i have single digit body fat percentage.
