@Seizhin Dude thats a classic and it doesnt suck. It was good for the time. In episode 4 they based lightsaber combat off Kendo which is the samurai's martial art. The style of fighting fit perfectly with that movie and time period. Only spoiled kids who don't appreciate movie without next generation effects complain. let's just compare Anakin vs Obi-Wan fight in ep3 to this shit. In this fight everyone is younger, but they are moving like if they would be in full metal armor and having to swing a 5kg weight sword.

In ep3 they are moving as fast, as it is hard to even follow their movements .

You choose your own colour really.

In the original 3 I thnk the plan was that padawans and knights had blue, masters had green.

This changed.

Samuel L Jackson asked for a purple one, thought that'd be cool, more rare colours are hard to find, and Mace Windu is HARD hehe.

So they just allowed people to have various colours.

Rule being that you need to find your own crystal and make your blade, different colours come from different places.

Dooku vs. Anakin and Obi Wan was just lame. I felt especiallly ripped off with Anakin.

First he uses 2 sabers (quite poorly and slow) for like 10 seconds and looses one of them. Then he cuts the cord to make smoke and the lights flicker and we get a BS slide show. Cut to Anakin's face, cut to Dooku's face, wide shot of them moving slowly around each other, cut to tight face shots again.

WTH is that? Compare it Maul vs. Obi Wan or Dooku vs. Yoda. Should been more epic.

In terms of how well they all battled, yes, Obi Wan must have been half asleep. It's also a rip off, but more in terms of lazy writing. No, no, look closer, he gets caught on Force Grab, he opens Anakins arms (3:01) and cuts him disables him out, make note that the Count was not totally evil, he could have had cut off his head if he wanted to, Anakin should have had been merciful in the next duel bringing that into consideration, Anakin took revenge on taking his two arms and then his head, totally illegitimate settlement, thats when he became a Sith.

Force grab is pretty much Telekinesis, when Duko fights Joda he starts to pull ceiling of and Joda uses the same force grab to evade it, I am saying this in order to make sure we are in the same page; for a Jedi or Sith is feasible to manipulate its opponents body, Duko holds Anakin, opens his arms and then slices his arm off (again Duko could have had cut off his head).

I invite you to check the second duel where Duko actually grabs Kenobi and he also opens his arms right before Duko tosses him away and knocks him out leaving him fighting with Skywalker by himself, notice that Skywaker grabs both of Dukos arms with the force (it was the only way to do that to Duko) and slice them both off as well. Dooku practices Makashi, a way of lightsaber fencig specially designed for fighting other lightsaber wielders, and defeats Obi Wan's and Annakin's defensive Soresu style with ease. Later, Annakin adapts the powerful, duel-orientated style of Djem So and wears Dooku down. On the other hand, it's Obi Wan's Mastery of the defensive Soresu that allows him to defeat the 4 saber wielding Grievous (and even Vader couldn't get through much later...). So you see, there's more to it than being "badass"...

Most people here don't know anything about lightsaber forms, their strengths and weaknesses and who employs which style and has mastered which ways of the force. Dooku was way more powerful than Maul, for example. Jinn was an excellent fighter, but he was much older than the energetic Maul, and was killed due to exhaustion and being at a disadvantage with his Ataru style in the confined quarters where Maul's double bladed Juyo style excelled...
