Uh, actually no... People don't just "vanish". There never was some "great civilization" in Illinois, Missouri or anywhere else within a thousand miles. Ruins don't just vanish. If a 12,000 year old temple in southeastern Turkey can survive to the modern day and 10,000 year old settlements leave behind enough artifacts to be found, there is NO WAY you could hide a "lost civilization" in plain site right smack dab in the middle of the US and its 300+ million people. This mormon crap is hokey.
Spears, armour, Helmets? We have found absolutely no evidence whatsoever that a city named Zarahemia ever existed? We have no proof of any armor used in 600-400 B.C? Its silly and there simply is no evidence to support any of the claims of the B.O.M. ..Sorry. Also we have no proof of any steel being produced in the Americas in that time.
D&C 125:3 says "Let them build up a city unto my name upon the land opposite the city of Nauvoo, and let the name of Zarahemla be named upon it."
It doesn't say that the Zarahemla of the BoM is across from Nauvoo (like the title suggests) it says the Saints are to build a city across from Nauvoo and name it Zarahemla.
And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
