  • Uh..... not sure. With the wheeled landing gear I think it weighs in close to 12 pds, maybe a little more.

I never actually flew it with the floats, although I wish I had. Would you like to buy it?

  • can i ask how much your sigs weight was with the gear floats please

    thanks

  • sweet. somebody at my club has a four star that our club president made it looks fantastic on the ground and when it spreads it's wings.

  • The landing gear comes with the 4* kit. My plane isn't available right now so I can't measure the gear for you, sorry.

  • COULD YOU MEASURE YOUR LANDING GEAR SO THAT I COULD ORDER MINE YOUR PLANE LOOKS AWESOME @ 4:28 AND I WANT MINE TO LOOK LIKE YOURS ALL MEASUREMENTS WOULD BE GREAT

  • You can buy the Sig Four Star 60 or 120 size directly from SIG.

    sigmfg.com

Of course you can also buy from several other RC sites. Just Google / Yahoo search what you want.

RC universe.com is a great source of info, and also RC Groups.com.

Good Luck! I hope that answers your question.

  • Where or how you order the kits, im interest in building but i need some clue of where i can buy a kit and get info about it.Thanks

  • Thanks for the video... Just wondering what you think about the A.R.F.s ?? Do you think they are a good deal, what have you herd ?? I was wanting to get one but I am not that good at building... Thanks again... Samuel A. Isaac A.M.A# 621021

  • If you are not interested in building then yes, definitely. With the economy being what it is, there must be some good deals out there. Good Luck.

  • Nice job, very entertaining to watch.

  • Did you build this plane for the wing to come apart in two pieces?

  • Yes, I have a small car.

  • Thanks for the tips Crash,

Yesterday I did go in and braced everything with 3/8 triangular balsa. Wow what a difference that made. Makes me feel better too. That firewall isn't going anywhere now. haha.

I'll shoot some video of it when she's up in the air, then send it your way. Good luck with your build! -Todd B.

  • Nice cowl!! Mine still has the cheeks. What cowl is that your using. -Todd B.

  • Nice build man, I just bought a newly built Four star 120 with a SPE 26cc. at a swap meet last week. The motor didn't run so I sent it off to BCMA for Adam to work his magic! Now I can't wait to fly my four star! Only problem is the guy didn't go with the beefier firewall like you did. Hope it's not a issue? -Todd B.

  • Just check it for soundness. Make sure there are no cracks etc.

Of course there should be "triangular" bracing behind the firewall too, fastened w/ EPOXY not CA. Epoxy is fuel resistant. Good luck, send me pics or a video!

  • Dan, It looks great! Just tell me one thing.... How on earth are you going to get that in your car? Ha-ha. Todd

  • UUUUUHHHHH.....uh oh I didn't think of that!

IT'll fit. That's why I customized the wings w/ fiberglass tubes. So i can take them apart.
