Adam Lambert's album mostly focuses on his vocals and not his music arrangements.

Kris has this Cafe-esk/soothing/alternative sound which I LOVE.i'm kinda over the rock stuff after david cook won. i mean there was constantine and daughtry before. adam was just another rock dude. Kris is this new genre that we have not heard from Idol in a while. i mean we had the Pop from Kelly and Jordan and now we need that alternative sound that Kris gots.

Haha. It's a good thing, then, that a lot of people out there love the scary, creepy, and wacko. It's interesting and VERY entertaining.
I love both of them. Kris Allen is very cute, with a lovely, soothing voice and a calm and relaxing demeanor about him. Adam Lambert is sexy, with a unique voice, excellent range, and a mood that gets you excited.
You really can't say or even imply that one is better than the other. They're both very special men. :)

I don't think anyone could have said it any better. They're both phenomenal singers and it's impossible to say which is better because one ISN'T better than the other. American Idol is over and votes on who's better are unnescessary. So true.

Kris is a total sweetheart and a very talented musician, but what he isn't is particularly original, groundbreaking, or culture-changing, which Adam is. I've been extremely bored with the homogenized, corporate-generated music business for years now. My excitement over Adam is that he (along with a few other artists such as Pink) are putting the power of music back where it belongs, with the artists! It's like a wonderful F-U to the powers behind the scenes that have been manipulating for years.

Deeverdict, I don't actually know the sexual preference of my comment, but I myself am a married, heterosexual, female in my 40's who also happens to be a musician who was literally raised in the business. I didn't say that Kris can't be a nice boy-next-door, make lovely, sweet music that will appeal to many - what I'm saying is that when all is said and done, I don't believe he has the ground-breaking relevance that Adam has. Its the confidant, divisive people who move things forward.

You don't need to either be strictly a "Glambert" or strictly a fan of Kris's music. This report is stupid. Also, it doesn't even include a clip of Adam's beautiful new video ("For Your Entertainment").
She's right about one thing: they are two entirely different performers. Kris is low-key and, quite frankly, rather dull version of Adam Levine (of Maroon 5). Adam is ...not really comparable to any artists out there. Unique talent, controversial performers and sex appeal make icons (see MJ).

I mean I like Adam a bit more but Kris is a good singer, pianist,and guitarist. That will really help him with his career, being multitalented. Another thing is that it seems like clevvertv is implying that its a contest between the 2. American Idol is over, Kris won, but both are pursuing to do what they love.that's all that matters right?

Kris has this Cafe-esk/soothing/alternative sound which I LOVE.i'm kinda over the rock stuff after david cook won. i mean there was constantine and daughtry before. adam was just another rock dude. Kris is this new genre that we have not heard from Idol in a while. i mean we had the Pop from Kelly and Jordan and now we need that alternative sound that Kris gots.

Kris and Adam were both GREAT! Yet very different. I think it's a mistake to make Kris a 'pop' star. Adam was my top pick, but when Kris sang with Keith Urban...that was sensational! Kris is "country". He'll do much better in Nashville!
