any who is about to build a pc or already build one what are your specs im building one for swtor it will be my first build im getting asus z68 pro. i5 2500k. 8gb ram 1600. evga 550ti. 750 watt ps. and cm sniper.
I'm building my new computer soon (i've just order the parts) and just want to check this case hold ATX formfactor motherboards right?? so this case will fit the ASUS P8Z68-V Pro??
I just got this case the only thing different is that I have another one for the big fans on the side panned I live u. Can control the speed of the fans and the lights on the fans lots of ish ports a data port and headphone jack on the front if the case its a big case though but I live it!
Will buy this tomorrow. My first choice Cosmos S, has less space for the CPU cooler that I want or similar alternatives, based on the width of the case. I think this is more for my needs and at a good price.
I dont' really see why they bothered with the security system.. Why would I be lanning with people if I thought they'd steal my stuff lol? And its not great to use it at home either, since if I get burgled, they'll obviously just take the whole thing xD !
very nice case but I did have a few problems with bulding my PC inside.
1. The hole on the back of the motherboard tray was too small for my CoolIT ECO
1366 mounting bracket which is an average sized mounting bracket, so I had to sand down the mounting bracket to make it fit.
The 200mm fans use weird connectors. It used a two pin molex and a standard 2 pin connector for the LEDs. The built in fan controller supports these connections obviously but have that in mind if you are planning to
@secreamia the 200mm will move a lot of air but 2 120's can move even more, they may just be louder. it all depends on the fans you get. i use all noctuas for the balance of airflow/noise.
I have been considering this case but I want to know if it comes with the right panel fan like in the pictures I have been looking at? The reason I ask this is because all the unboxing videos I watched does not show the case having the 200 on the right side but it shows it in all the pictures.
@USArmy556 uh. i believe so. u have to do some research first. im pretty sure it can fit full size cards, but i know for a fact it will fit the 11 inch 5870. so just do some research. check cooler masters website, sent them an email and ask. or just do a google search.
this case is awesome! easy to build in, good air flow, dust filthers, lots of space, good tool less solutions... best mid tower i've ever had, and i've had quite a few. reccomended to everyone!
did u had to buy the side panel window separate , because on their websites and some other ones it says " side window panel (optional) .. so im confused .
@PCWizKid: sorry if i forgot dont mentioned but i say if this case can be support the PSU IN WIN Commander 1200 W? sorry for the spam and thanks for answer me. Cheers.
how many fans does the speed control knob support ? just the 2 200mm led fans, or more ? for example if i want to add another 200mm fan on the left side, can i add that one to the speed controller ?
@dagasfriend that's nice, what version of the case do you have? i've got the Sniper - Original ... i guess it depends on the additional fan connectors, the case controller has 2 or 3 free connectors to witch i attached the side fan (Force 200) recommended by Cooler Master, but i can't control the led and speed.
I'm getting this case on my new PC build soon. I'm hoping there's no hitches with that fan control option, I don't worry about the illumination but fan control is good.
Yeah, but if I want to use the case fan controller (included as you said, next to power button etc), I need to get the special Coolermaster fan right?

Nice video man! Could you please do a review on the new CM Storm Scout? I love your reviews and I was just wondering if you could please please review it!
Very sharp looking case, but it doesn't look like it's bringing any new features to the table. In fact, I think the Cooler Master HAF case looks more impressive.
bottom DEFINITELY as intake, hot air rises, so good luck getting it to rise to the bottom XD. The side fan, if its positioned in line with a Graphics Card should be intake, infact they usually work best as intake. TJHarlow proved that in a video :D

this case will fit anything. for video cards you have 14 inches of clearance. the 5870 is 11 inches.
this case is gigantic!
BohleyK 2 years ago
mmmm carnt decide between this one and the scout not sure =D both great cases
wtfadiin 2 years ago
Its up to you what you prefer...
it depends on what system you want to build....
The Sniper is bigger and supports the biggest GFX cards, so you can throw anything in it without probs.
But in The SCOUT you will have some probs with big componets like the CoolerMaster V10 cpu cooler to fit in there.
But its doable like PCwizkid shows in his SCOUT rewiew...
The SCOUT will fit 2x HD4890.
but i dont think a HD5870 will fit [11"]
Both great Cases,
if you need more space... go with SNIPER
BonsaiBozz 2 years ago
A HD5870 will fit
Yes BonsaiBozz will fit
The SCOUT have 14 inches(expansion slots until hd) of space for video cards like 5870 or 5870x2 more longer .
maximus1000 2 years ago
It will fit sure...
but personally i dont recommend it because of bad Airflow...
if you put a single HD5870/x2 no probs...
but if you put 2 in Crossfire the space is not enough for proper cool airflow...
I would put 2 HD4890 in there. they're still powerfull cards and you get more space for better airflow..."in the SCOUT"...
SNIPER has no problems with it...
Its big & wide you have plenty of rooms there and you can install up to 4 120mm Fans on the left sidepanel... for extra cooling..
BonsaiBozz 2 years ago
I agree Sniper is the best choice

The SNIPER comes stock with a Mesh&Dust Filter Side Panel...
The Optional is a glass Windowed side Panel...
