this was alpha vertion of minecraft... the older vertion never had game modes its only servivle and up to minecraft beta 1.8 there was no food bar. :)

i heard that there is a way to make wood into coal. anyone know if this is true and how?

@Snoogen11 yes it is true you need to make a furnace with ur crafting table fill the whole thing with cobblestone then take 1 away in the middle now in the furnace just put wood in BOTH spots and u should have charcoal its the same thing as normal coal hope this helps :)
