Love the look of it. Not sure on some of what is said though. The car as standard with 80hp takes 10.6 seconds to hit 60mph. I can't see how they've added 26bhp but ended up with it being a slower car. Some people with a similar level of power have done 0-60's between 6.66 seconds and 7 or 8 dependant on whose remap it is.
Also I'm not quite sure whether they've really swapped to a tube framed chassis.
wow i wish i had the money back when these was being made, or i would have got one. i like the Smart Roadster Coupé because of the hatch giving it a added look. then i would have had it tuned. but since they are no longer made you would have to settle for the 4/2
a very good car but needs to be as customizable as the mini moke which is half a meter longer and has a 1L engine cylinder with 4 seats and an actual manual gearbox!!!!!

if u want to swotch the engine youreself it costs u less then the half and alot of time...but its worth it :D
if u want an engine use a solid long lasting engine from a bike...if youre lucky and you get a good engine u can do about 50.000 kilometers with the engine most of the motobike engines run between 45.000-60.000 and osmetimes more kilometers till they are killed...a car is way heavier then a bike
there are some tuning companys that could do this for you
and with a hayabusa turbo engine the engine can do 499 HP but i think if the smart is rwd there are still 390-435 hp on the rear tires or if its fwd there should be anything between425-450 hp on the tires......
im not sure with ANYTHING....i just wrote down what i heard saw and read about everything i wrote to you ^^

i was wondering why doesnt anyone ever put a 1.8l supercharged engine in there with something around 180hp??
i mean smarts gearboxes are shit anyways and all this needs to compete with lotus is an engine with some power!

no you can't drive this car at 16 but you could drive it when you hit your 17 bd because the tax and insurance is cheap :) it only has a 699cc engine
