  • she is one of the best!

  • more like. take it off

  • Bewitching

  • I love it when she cuts loose near the end with "So if it's gonna bring you trouble, Ah let it go, let it go". Beautiful song. Great video.

  • she always has perfect pitch and tone...............love vibrato

  • If anyone, while listening to Grace sing, can concern themselves with her physical, aging body, her talent is lost on that person. The Queen of RockNRoll, Still gifted, still singing to packed crowds. Rock On, Sister Grace!!!!

  • GRACE:JE T'aime pour toujours,nulle chanteuse n'arrive à ta cheville

  • che fregna...

  • My God who sings like this. Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @philiparomeo Only Grace my friend only Grace!

  • very touching and lovely song.....plus it's so true!

  • This is an amazing song. Thanks for sharing.

  • This song is interesting, I think it's almost as if she's explaining the reasons behind all her decisions and life choices having to do with following your dreams, romantic relationships, music, drugs, the justification behind youthful rebellion, running away from your problems, creating a different life for yourself.

If more people listened to this song and listened to their "spirit child", I think they would get a lot more out of life.

  • @thedoctor7000 She actually wrote it about drugs I'm not exactly sure which one, but I believe it's heroine or cocaine

  • Love this album, one of the best of all times.

And if 4:09 and the next few seconds doesn't get to the core of you....

  • Whenever I need an attitude adjustment, I just call on Grace. I remember.

  • OMG !

  • Una Gran voz para una banda increible

  • its greats !

  • Has to be the best singer, beautiful, beautiful voice.

  • The first time I heard Grace Slick was on "We built this city", still a good rocking song, and I was fascinated by her, the way she moved, her eyes and of course her voice. Now that song, Let it go, it's something else. What a great song!

I want to say i'm sick of reading comments regarding artists losing their beauty. Come back here past 60 and tell us how you look now. You prefer freaks of plastic surgery like Cher?

  • grace i love u marry me please im 21

  • @AcidInzest And she's past 60

  • IT IS TIME FOR THE RECORD COMPANIES TO RELEASE ALL 3 OF GRACE'S SOLO RECORDS FROM THE 1980S. WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG?

  • grace didn't manage her carreer well after 1989. she retired too early, she let too many other people define her and let too many people devalue her worth as an artist. and she did not cultivate her fan base or fame properly after she retired in 1989.

grace is probably the best singer ever but she still came out at a time when women did not run the show on their own terms-- that came in the mid 1980s.

  • @The096757 Somehow I don't think Grace ever let anybody besides Grace define her.

  • @zitlight73

every interview of grace i've seen since about 1980 the interviewers ask about her age but how many people have asked madonna , oprah winfrey, bette midler and the rest of those hags about their age?

grace was a great singer and should have made solo albums up to the early 1990s when good musicians weres still out there

  • i would deem her the hottest chick at woodstock for sure

  • to bad she let her body go she was a fox

  • @tsharpmac420 : aging can be very unkind to beautiful young things, especially after menopause. Slick has battled health problems for 20 years.

  • I have always liked her voice. The Airplane would not have been as good w/o her.

  • Back when a pop star was made by her talent and voice rather than the size and silliness of her hat.

  • I'm singing this song in a few weeks for an audition. I'm a huge fan of Grace Slick, and a professor of mine always said that I remembered her of Grace Slick. I'll do my best to sing the hell out of this song and do Grace Slick some serious justice.

  • 20 people are justin beiber fans >.< who would dislike this?

  • great song

  • no one can emulate that angelic voice.

  • most beautiful / amazing picture of Grace Slick ever seen !

  • 0.30 best picture in the world

  • love her

  • grace slick has an incredible voice and its' beautiful

  • Fabulous

  • This song is my life. I love her.

  • very pretty song, makes you think:D

  • wish i could sing like her

  • nice

  • What can you say, one of the greats, no technology to make her sound good......... get my drift.

  • Una voce da DEA......

  • great voice hidden a lot but sticks out if left alone

  • just amazing a butiful song from a butiful woman

  • Why is everyone comparing her to florence? They're so different. I mean, I see the similarities, but they are so different.

  • 3:15 - Awesome

  • Beautiful song...by the one and only Gracie!!! She's amazing as usual. Didn't know this song from the day.....Thanks for the posting. I actually met her at a concert when we bumped into each other trying to avoid huge puddles on a field at MSU in 1970

  • She's beautiful :)

  • i wish grace was 13!

  • Great

    Strong

    Powerful

    - too many female singers today are pouty and whiny. Too much acrobats with the notes. And their lyrics belong on a cupcake.

  • I'd eat her voice!

  • gosh.. celine deline ... she so absolutely boring..

  • I'll be 51 three weeks from today....but I can still remember the night I bought the vinyl of this in 1980. It was the featured album playing at the record store across the street from Obie's pizza in Nashville, TN. Actually I still have the record, but I stopped playing it for a few years cause I couldn't get it on CD. When I finally got the CD I was able to listen to her magnificent voice again. This too is one of my favorites...

  • @ActorGuy Obie...isn't that the cop in "Alice's restaurant?"

  • she does as she pleases

in green sun, on blue earth

    under warm running showers

  • One Grace Slick will still be better than one hundred Céline Dions!

  • @Lagaletteinfernale, sure, absolutely true - you can add madonna, lady gaga, kylie minogue... there are just a few, who come close to grace...

  • @imatra52 Err... Please allow me to disagree...

  • @imatra52

I dont think so. one female singer that I think could come close to grace today is grace potter

  • @Lagaletteinfernale who is celine dion...

  • @Lagaletteinfernale Yes...she was MYVOICE....MY VOICE... My psychedelic spy... mu...my surrogate mother...oreo...age 50!!!!!!!!

  • @Lagaletteinfernale

Anything is better than one hundred Céline Dions...

  • I'm French and I'm lucky enough to understand Grace's witty lyrics, and believe me French among other things suuuuck when it comes to speak English! Ok, Americans and English suuuck when it comes to speak French, too. Anyway, Grace Slick is so underrated just as Joni Mitchell is, and this is a shame, period.

  • i suppose he still has her voice but its hard to believe she ever looked tht good now. before you get pissy i'm no spring lily either so Yes i know as well as any old fart.lol

  • This song never gets old. Classy and Classic in a singular moment of time that will last forever.

  • Comment removed

  • Beautiful.

  • ACHO Q ESTOU APAIXONADO.

  • and there are 19 idiots with no ears.

  • I can't find this anywhere to download. Helppppp, i need itttttt lol

:) this song is so powerful and beautiful

  • @RikkuPaine01 This song is on the cd "Dreams", which is available as a Korean import.....don't think it's available for download. It is a wonderful collection of songs from Grace.

  • Oh my gosh, she is beautiful...

  • The pic of her @ 2:47 is one of my favs ever!

  • @SceneKidsAreGay456 What's it matter, either way, your fat ugly ass couldn't get with her.

  • On the subject of performing again, Grace has said in effect, she considers herself a painter now and nobody wants to see a fat old lady on stage singing about revolution anyway. Well, on that last part she's wrong but even if she never sings another note onstage, we will always carry that fire. And when that starship leaves orbit, hell yes, we'll be on it.

  • this song is epic

  • First listen. Bloody amazing. I'm surprised she isn't praised like a goddess.

  • She is definately one of the most under rated performers that ever lived.

  • To me, the most beautiful woman that ever lived... if only i was born to be in that time.

  • @PurpleCloud619 You were born in this time and you should keep her spirit alive into the future remind people what a force she was. And one day she will get the respect she deserves. She has always been overlooked but she was one of the greatest

  • God I love Grace...there is nobody like her...not even close.

  • This is wonderful! Can't believe I've never found it before - so glad I have now. Also glad I've no neighbours so I can play it loud and sing along at the top of my voice. Thankyou Grace!

  • This makes me cry, it is so awesome.

  • @ledzeprebecca I totally agree w/ you. Very touching song - Grace is just amazing!!!!

  • First time I heard this song. Fantastic.

  • Happy birthday Grace! You're an amazing musician, artist, and person!

  • wowwww what a voice what a voice ....

    I admire the woman ! she's so great !

and Long live jefferson airplane :)

  • amazing song

  • I like her a lot.

  • This song is both beautiful and encompassing at the same time.

  • I LOVE YOU ALL .

  • Brings a tear to my eye everytime

    BEAUTIFUL GRACE BEAUTIFUL !!!

  • let it go. be free

  • She comes from a time when the number of great, truly great female vocalists was almost unbelievable. Compare, just to name a few, Baez, Nyro, Springfield, Slick, Collins, Streisand, Judith Durham, Screamin' Aretha, and about a hundred others that I'm not bringing to mind right at the moment.. compared to what is around today..

  • @MiserableOldFart Don't forget theWilson sisters, :)

  • @MiserableOldFart Good point!! And you're right!

  • @MiserableOldFart joplin

  • @TheFedinaaa90 She was talented, I agree 100%, but just not my style. A tragedy for sure.

  • @MiserableOldFart ..much better than joan baez

  • @oreokookie1000 Please, don't be totally stupid. Grace Slick was a wonderful singer but was not in a vocal class with Joan Baez., who was/is a singer for the ages.

  • @MiserableOldFart ....true , but she was the evil twin....but they both pushed political boundaries, Grace was more entertaining to me!!!...Joan's voice was God- given and not of this world!

  • @MiserableOldFart I find Joan Baez a little TOO pristine. But aside from the fact that they went to the same high school, I see little commonality betw. the two. Folk apples to rock oranges. But as far as folk queens go, I prefer Judy Collins to Baez. I think she was a more sensitive interpreter of lyrics overall. Yes, you CAN sing too pretty imhb. But that's just my humble op.

  • @gbcallahan totally true...how can one compare???....Baez transports me beyond music, you- tube, etc.....I have this same experience when I hear great gospel singing like aretha, or James Cleveland, mighty clouds of joy.......Buffy st. marie is another one...god, I wish I wasn't a ten yr old in the 60's!!!

  • @MiserableOldFart Yes, but she defined rock n' roll.......baez was a god given talent..aretha, another god given...grace defined rock,

  • @MiserableOldFart Dont forget Janis JOPLIN! Grace rules though:)

  • @kozmicblues14 and sandy denny, i love her :)

  • @MiserableOldFart : I deem Grace Slick the finest woman hard rock singer of all time. Her voice in Somebody to Love and White Rabbit is simply magisterial. She set the standard. Nobody today comes within a light year. The creative synergies between her and Marty Balin were astounding.

  • @MiserableOldFart i'd rather not :)

  • @MiserableOldFart

    Joplin!

  • This song really captures freedom. Thanks Grace for such a beautiful tune. I want to back in time

  • Grace is a songstress and there is no bullshit with Grace Slick. She says what She means and is a very intelligent woman and She is wise beyond Her years. She had reason to be pissed losing Her friends that were around Her,Grace has an aura about Her and beautiful eyes and soul

  • let em go...what a voice <3

  • Truly a masterpiece. What a talent she had.

To think that people once dismissed her as something much less than what she ended up achieving. She certainly has my respect.

  • Great voice. Lovely eyes.

  • grace and janis...wow

  • grace is a living legand,countless classic songs.1 in a million

  • If you didn't have Grace Slick in the 1960s, you never had Stevie Nicks and Anne Wilson in the 1970s or 1980s. Lady Gaga is a Madonna clone, and not a very good one.

  • Such a good mellow song x

  • Love this song. Simple and beautiful. Grace Slick rocks!

  • beautiful song.

  • My mind still blows when I see what a strong poet and performer she was. I think she wants us to forget the Jefferson Wheelchair period " We built this Shitty "

She is such an awesome older gal now, with a waterfall of white hair and great wit!

See some recent Grace interviews posted.....she's a scream.

  • @dullsvillain Yeah, I think I know what interview you're talking about. I've watched quite a few different videos of her with/without JA and omg she's just hilarious!

"Jefferson Wheelchair" = huge laughs here! Unfortunately, I don't like many of the songs after JA (the weird Starship era), I just kinda act like that whole thing never even happened LOL

  • @listentoalex

LOL ..yeah weird Starshit : D

The interview of Grace is posted above in video response. The author gave each chapter a color name.

Also, some Tuber just posted JA live at Amsterdam Concertgebouw '68 with fantastic rare stuff like If You Feel etc.---WOW!

  • @dullsvillain You said the interview is posted above...where? I don't see it.

  • @dullsvillain oh shit, nevermind lol

  • Grace surely had a wonderful voice, such power and passion!

  • masterpiece.thanks.

  • My favourite friendly freak.Thanks.Best wishes.

  • Nice appeal for calm. Why do people get so worked up? This is beautiful music. Religion has caused much trouble your right, but it is because it ignores a basic teaching. Treat others as you want to be treated yourself.

  • @derryhawk Religion causes trouble mainly because it replaces reason and logic with blind belief.

  • @Vermiliontea You are right. I live in the Northern part of Ireland, and have watched one kind of blind belief, batter another, and vice versa. Very sad. Mind you, there is a lot of blind belief in some fields of science too. I think faith is different from blind belief. It has evidence. Like I can't see gravity, but I know there is a law that keeps things on the ground...I dropped a cup in the kitchen recently, and it proved it! Love and peace to you. Nice sharing views with you.

  • This is such a beautiful song. Grace Slick sings it so wonderful. Great lyrics

  • What? nevr mind, dont respond

  • @shadowls1 yeah that's a really cute picture of her, but i would say 0:00-5:11 she looks so hot haha

  • This is the first time that I'm hearing this song! And I love it! Thank you for sharing! :)

  • @24hfrozen -Grace does have a fantastic voice

  • @24hfrozen You and I both :)

  • wow she was soooooooo beautiful when she was younger

  • me hubiera ser como ella , vivir en esa época y disfrutar de ese tipo de juventud, como que rmpe esquemas en su forma de vestir, de ser, no sé que escandalos habrá hecho en su juventud, pero transmite una energía de esa contracultura de los 60

  • love her profile (side on shots of her face).. that cute nose is timeless..Wish i could meet her...

  • @mantooth3245 Same. She's brilliant. If I could ever meet her, and Ann and Nancy Wilson, my life would be complete. :)

  • @ledzeprebecca If only their were time machines? i'd die to go back and meet Gracie Slick,or even today meet Gracie's daughter ,carrying on the hot genes of her hot mother... Maybe in the next life? ;(

  • This is my second favorite Grace Slick song...Face to the Wind being my first. I appreciate her honesty in this piece.

  • pow ela era moh gata!

  • What a voice!

  • Tremendous, no question about it. Thanks for the video.

  • GRACE SLICK, just beautiful and hard woman!!!

I really love this song, it has great lyrics...my favorite of "Dreams". I put this song to my nephew, he is a baby...and he loves it! I fell in love with this album, is the best, also Software is.

  • Excellent song

  • yep...just let let it go....and close your eyes and listen to her voice...she is awesome....

  • broooooo she is such a FOX! if she were president she would be baberaham lincoln

  • @fishman328 Haha that's like the best pickup line ever. xD

  • Grace was and is the Queen of the hippies, the most beautiful, vibrant woman endowed with a goddess-like voice of power and emotion. She is the Spirit Child within. Thank you Grace.

  • @FourTrotters

very true, nice description, thanks for that, another fan

  • Grace was and is the Queen of the hippies, the most beautiful, vibrant woman endowed with a goddess-like voice of power and emotion. She is the Spirit Child within. Thank you Grace.

  • YOU WONT LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She was 40 when she recorded this...the same age as I was when I finally started singing The power and beauty of her voice is an awesome thing to behold! She was, is, and remains a force of nature. Much love and respect to her!

  • @KaGoMusic One of the First "liberated women""......same age as my mom, but unlike moms, she left that str8, catholic, get married and kids world, said "fuck it" I'm goin my own muse, jack cassidy, keriouc cath the great etc...far out!.....the Acid enhanced, kantners fiction augmented, owesley and charlie in mexoico...salud!

  • Es una cancion hermosa,!!!!

  • @gisell86 sin duda:)

  • Beautiful woman, Beautiful voice, she at least deserves this amount of respect.

  • Grace rules!!!!!!!!! She's got a fuckin' great voice!

  • Grace is my idol.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG !

  • So True and Beautiful...Thanks
