I remember I had read how awful WILD LIFE was and I had just assumed that was true. Then I bought it. While it is rather slight (more like 2/3 of an album) it was much better than the reviews lead me to believe and the song "Tomorrow" is excellent-worthy of a place among Paul's best work!
@jpgrbeat1. Same here. But I bought it anyway and I couldn't believe how so many of the songs were SO good, this being the best. The only criticism of Wildlife is that it is so under produced, but then I reckon that's a good thing. Tomorrow is a great song, would have been great as a Beatles album track.
Loved the first and all their music.Loved this album , so many great songs. I am your Singer... Ram album too. Great romance. They really depended on one another. Feel sorry for Paul, another marriage. Why all theses marriages..anyway his business. But one things for sure so far, the other wives certainly did not contribute yo any great romantic songs like with Lin..Bless you and admire you very much.
Yes, I think it' easier to choose the worst one than the best one, which is a great compliment indeed. I could never stand "Yellow Submarine", maybe because someone did a spanish cover that was even worse.
@oldbrownshoe1 Huh. Interesting opinions you have there. I would never guess that someone's favorite Beatles songs would be Good Morning Good Morning or Rain. But then again every Beatles song is a masterpiece. Except I don't think it's fair to call Mr. Moonlight the Beatles' weakest song because it was not even one of their originals.
I never underestimate John. But I feel that John had respect for McCartney as a musician and singer. And I don't think John's voice held up to the strain during live vocals. On Live at the BBC, I love the song "I'll Be Back." Why that never became a #1 hit I can't understand. They're rehearsing it on this tape, without that extra noise the song has on Beatle's '65. You hear their voices and John's is so great; you can hear he has a bit more of a charming Cockney accent.
I haven't heard this song in decades. I still like it, especially the end when you hear all the guitars. If the Beatles had made it together it would have been great. BTW, every year they vote for the worst Beatle song ever. Mr. Moonlight, Obladi Oblada, The best song is always Hey Jude. My vote for worst song -- and I bet a lot of Beatle fans have forgotten this one -- "Good Night Sleep Tight, sung by Ringo on the White album right before you hear Number 9 (Turn me on dead man.)
@kc440 I disagree, i think "Good Night" is kind of cool....of course its not close to their best but idk about WORST...i'd say theyre worst might be "You Know My Name" or "Wild Honey Pie" and their best song is just to hard to choose....A Day in The Life, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, While My Guitar Gently Weeps...etc
You can really hear how much McCartney contributed to The Beatles' overall sound in this song. It sounds like it could be something right out of their catalog, and I feel like you wouldn't be able to say that about anything Lennon, Harrison, or Starr recorded during their solo careers.
@Thetarantinomaniac Yes it sounds like a Beatle song and I think musically McCartney was better than John Lennon. Lennon was brilliant but he had a weak voice no one knew about. George Martin was always doing something to change his voice or make it stronger. Lennon hated vocals, but McCartney never had a problem. I also found out recently that after their huge success in America, they all took music lessons to improve their skills. That was kept secret.
@kc440 While McCartney did have a great voice, lets not under estimate Lennon...I feel that Lennon was the foundation of the Beatles in their early stages, "It Won't Be Long" "Please Mr Postman" "Twist and Shout" "Eight Days A Week" "Help" "If I Fell" "I Should Have Known Better" etc...

Eu ouvi esta música a décadas. Eu ainda gosto dela, especialmente no final quando você ouve todas as guitarras. Muito linda.

Sgt. Pepper will always be their best. It's odd but I always return to the early songs. I was 8 when they came over and it ties into my childhood.
