Aside from that, it was a non-conventional story (no real hook, no real climax, no resolution and very dialogue heavey). Keep in mind, this is a visual medium, (if you were to go the dialogue route then again, a quieter setting) and with a visual medium audiences tend to enjoy the conventional hook, rising action, climax and resolution. just my 2 cents. 5 stars anywas thought cuz it def doesnt deserve 1 lol
Ight ill give some constructive criticism. You try to work best with what you got right. And the project was sorta doomed before production wen you were making the story because of the setting you chose. For example, i lack the same things u lack (Tripod being one, decent mic, not to mention i have only 1 actor). But wen creating a story, i decided to choose a quiter setting and work within the limits of wat i have.
ok well the film was just not compelling at all. the story was lacking pretty bad and the camerawork and audio were pretty bad as well. if i were u, i would invest in a tripod and some audio equipment if you plan on continuing making movies.
watch my entry when i upload it. you have every right to shoot it down the same way
If you plan on making videos for youtube, it'd be pointless to invest in a HD cam or anything, because the quality hit wen uploading to youtube would make it no more or less better then the camera you have. As far as tripods go, be inventive lol. Wen working on my project we used a ladder with its different steps, and then used books on those steps to fine tune the height :P. Ladderpod I call it. Just work with what you got right?
It was ok. Couldn't really hear the dialogue in the beginning. The crowd was too loud in the background. Maybe next time you could get the cafeteria to yourselves and then add the crowd sound effect later on or do voiceovers of yourselves. I liked the ending with the burger
hope you don't get in trouble for the song in the background.
Good tracking shots, and decent acting.
Best of luck my friend, and check my video out if you can.

I found it hard to get to the end, this film didn't really hold my attention.

Okay. I'll keep that in mind for future shorts. Thanks for watching!

Okay. Thank you for the tips. Perhaps I should put a Panasonic video camera on my holiday gift list.

Yeah. That's what we've been doing when filming a sketch comedy show I'm working on on campus, either steady handheld shots or stationary shots.

Unless you take out the Fall Out Boy at the beginning, this can't win any contest... Copyright my friend..

It was on the radio in the building. It's not like I could do anything about it.
crimsong19 3 years ago
You can always do something about it, take out the original audio, then re-dub your voice and sound effects.
or
Just add a non-copyright track over it, making it louder and lowering the sound of the original, and also dubbing over.

Oh, yeah.

Thanks. Yeah, nothing I could really do about the crowd. Perhaps. Glad you liked the ending.
