  • What was he saying the entire time? I could barely hear him. And who was video taping? They couldn't aim and focus on what he was doing? Look, if you're going to put up videos to show how to do something, please make sure the person videotaping actually shows how to do something.

  • @cahuliva I am sorry this video is not to your standards, I filmed it myself using a tripod and did all of the editing myself. My software and equipment is not the greatest but I do the best I can.

  • PINCHE MAL HECHO LO HACE AL PURO PUTASO

  • @tantananana En englis por favor

  • diamonds are equally sided, it is nothing more then a square on its side. Any geometry teacher will tell you this.

  • The shirt I am wearing is a lt blue, with contrasting white clar and the ti is crimson with a white and black stripe in it. All colors that blend well together I assue you, you need only to look up at the smybol of wch our country prides it's self for proof on that.

  • WHAT is he wearing? Black jacket with a baby blue chemise with a white collar and a red-black.white-bow-tie? :D

  • thanks!

  • Check out my 2nd pocket square video

  • What about the powder puff?

  • Well it is custom to go in front of it but that all depnds o how much of the fold you want to show off.

  • Should the pocket square technically go in front of the lapel, or behind it?

  • @Naytazno I really wish that somebody would answer this.

  • Thanks for the heads up I was not aware of that.

  • I just purchased three pocket squares. One for my tuxedo in white silk, and the other two to match the shirts for my linen suit. However, they are MUCH smaller than a handkerchief and I honestly do not know how to properly use these things! I hope they don't end up unused in a drawer...

  • @alwayson09 well some squares come in a smaller size, they do very much limit which folds you can use. The point folds are out of the question but the rolled puffs, and reverse puffs are still doable and pefect for formalwear. You just have to be careful since there is less mateial to keep the square in the pocket and they have a tendancy to slide out.

  • you sure do scare me

  • lol pause at 0:31

  • @Suicideispainless47 I don't get it, am I missing something?

  • @bowtieguy85 when it fades out it looks like you're wearing a red kkk hat.

  • Love this video. Never knew about all the styles of the pocket square. ;-)

  • Should it match your shirt or your tie?

  • @funincluded It is acceptable to do either. It works best when you match it to your tie but it is also fine to match it to your shirt.

  • @bowtieguy85

Thanks, I've heard so many conflicting things

Flipping through a 'style book' at Nordstrom, it says "NEVER match it to your tie" ...seems like either works, haha

  • @funincluded Well when matching it to ytour tie you want to try and have the colors coordinate with each other not be a direct match as far as pattern and style and everything.

  • @funincluded should match the shirt if you don't use a tie

  • @funincluded that is correct.

  • @funincluded Yes, but no. You shouldn't try too hard.. A pocket square is more of a statement accesory nowadays.. Matching your Tie and square with exact same colours and patterns is trying to hard, but same color, eventually a colour complimenting your outfit looks best. That's my opinion though :) hope it helps

  • me gusta

  • @xtremetvfan Gracias!

  • he sounds like the guy with the mustache from family guy

  • I always thought I'd doing it wrong, because mine looked like sh*t ...

But then I saw in your video, that I have to adjust it, after putting it into my pocket.

In NO OTHER video they did mention that point, damn it ...

Thanks a lot! Will help me out at my prom, haha.

  • @pkstaytrue well I am glad I was able to help, I hope you enjoy your prom.

  • Excellent video. Very informative

  • I love this ! ! ! ! tanks for all the info bro.

  • @Uriel2129 Thanks, glad I was able to help.

  • Very good demonstrations, bad production value but I don't care. This is the best of the bunch and I have a feeling this guy out of the 5 that I looked at on youtube actually knows what he's talking about. Thank you bowtieguy85. I have a date to a wedding on Saturday and bought a pocket handkerchief to add to one of my many suits. Thanks again.

  • @joshenrique Thank you, I am glad my video was able to help. I do appriciate your comments and agree with you that the quality is a bit lacking but one thing you have to understand about my videos is that I film edit write and star in all of them on my own. I am using a cheap camera, handling all the sound and lighting myself and using a less than sufficient editing program. So yes the quality is not that great but all things considered I think it's a pretty bang up job.

  • @bowtieguy85 Nonetheless, my point is that your video amongst the many out there is the most helpful offering the most variety so thanks. Awesome job.

  • @joshenrique I appriciate that, is is why I do what I do.

  • @bowtieguy85 Along with some tie instructions here on the tube & your pocket square folding instructions I will be set to go for any formal occosaion's thanks for your great video

  • I like the demonstration showing multiple folds.

The sound quality could be a bit better, however you

really do "get to the point" :)

    thanks for doing it!

  • @2persist I appriciate your comments but have to let you know that all of the filiming and editing is done by me on some pretty cheap equipment. Yes it is not the best quality but I try and do the best I can with what I have.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA xD...! ....sry

  • Hey man thanks for showing me how to do this i would never have found it out had it not been for you

  • @TheTxdgee I am glad I was able to help. Anything else you need help with that I have not covered in one of my videos let me know and I will see what I can do for you.

  • you smell funny

  • @augTard

How do you smell me, what a silly comment.

  • Haha kinda has a funny voice... But good job dude

  • @mrcarlsjr714 Yeah my voice record a bit off, I haven't been able to figure that out yet.

  • Nice, I never would have thought i'd be that easy to have such a well put together look.

  • Excellent job, I just love your videos. it is inspiring to see a young man such as yourself with such a flare for fashion, hopefuly you will contine to inspire others as you do me.
