I did it with a glitch as well. The scarab was trying to kill a cobra i had locked down, and it just couldn't kill it, so i sent over a few more cobras and a load of scorpions and owned that bitch.

Micromanagement is the key to this level. If you try to transport your whole army with the all units button, you will lose at least half of your units. All you need is a single Scorpian and it will go through pretty much the whole level on normal.

when you have like 4 or 5 node destroyed then you go to the right all the way to this spot that the scarab cant get u then when it looking at the outher side then attack but the best way to destroy it with out getting shot is using warthogs with gauss

Help tip: When you got all the covenant infantry dead (at least most) get a marine squad in a sniper tower in the middle of the map, if you do this the scarab will target the tower and keep shooting at it, it will do this for ever, so you can relax, the harder the difficulty the faster you should get a squad in the tower in the middle(or close) you should be able to complete all the objectives, let me know if this was helpful.

I just took out the power nodes, made 12 Cobra's and locked them out right next to the Scarab. Got four Warthogs, and just kept running them through the oh so slow search light, and kept moving as it was stuck in place firing.

i get all my guys. i have 15 go one way to destract the scarab and 15 to flank it., my turrets take out any counterattacks and then when my units attack they get whiped out. so i get more and so on. but then the damn thing shoots the ruins and kills my bace!!

What i did was send sgt. forge straight at the scarab and just keep moving him eventually the scarab just stops shooting. I was trying to get the achievement of not destroying the nodes. eventually it started shooting again so i sent more troops and on their way the m-frs destroyed a node. pissed me off to because on shot from anything & the scarab was dead. I'd go for full upgraded cobras & wolverines. scorps take to long and don't do enough damage

i think a good strategy would be to make gausshogs toi trake out power nodes, and i javent actually tried this but build fully upgraded wolverines to take scarab because honestly the wolverines volley ability is really strong. or cobras cobras could work.

best thing to do is to research guass then run nodes with warthogs then rush the scarab with tanks but keep some warthogs to lure the beam away from tanks :)

Easiest I've found is flanking from the right, there's a nook near the Scarab. If you hide enough forces there, you can attack the front of the Scarab, draw fire and really easily destroy it.

I have a much simpler strategy, use the tanks to take out the nodes and locusts and build a bunch of cobras and send them at the scarab all at once. much easier

nope just built as many cobras as I could and would have the 2 upgraded reactors, vehicle depot, and four supply pads (or maybe 3 pads and a field armory) I upgraded everythingn and moved carefully to avoid the scarab.  Done right it is very easy

but halo was a sacred wold so they probably did not think i would be "invaded"; it was unknown to humans. The aliens probably did not put that many forces on halo. Then, after halo 004 was destroyed in Halo 1, the covenent became more cautious and put more forces on the rings.

he got owned... by 3 scarabs (dont ask dont know)

ok i find this the best way: as soon as you start double mac blast it. then build 3 supply pads and 1 field armory. upgrade the second reactor. build a tank and take both you tanks to kill the power nodes and locusts and upgade ur warthogs to guass. while doing this keep mac blasting and once your field armory is complete get reserves. after killing about 6/7 power nodes charge all you viecheles at the scarab. mac blasts, and spam warthogs and tanks if u have enough. dont bother saving forge.

also put ur rally point in front of the scarab. make all turrets anti-vehicle and upgrade tanks fully and after getting reserves destroy the armory and make another supply pad.

for the last level its pretty easy you wanna make supply pads two reactors and one vehicle depot/air pad. preferbly air pad, upgrade reactors fully, upgrade either vultures or get hawks not both. then rush the doors and use your leader powers, there is also a spare base in the flood area which you can use for armory and more pads.
