my and my friend has a RUNNING AND RIDING h2 750 in NC we are considering selling, has title and everything 3500 OBO msg me and i will get back to you, we will be posting a video of the bike running and the title
I feel a bit embaressed but those Exhausts are later I had an Orange H2 with earlier pipes than these! It is very sad when and we all get like this ,I really ought to get a life the BIKE IS WONDERFUL !! Good on YOU !!I
@blueh2 AnyOne who knows anything about Motorcycles and Speed, which obviously you don't Mr. Lover Of Skuz-uki's..!! The 1972 H2 750 was the fastest 1/4 mile production bike made in it's class up until the mid 90's..!!
I owned one of these for 3-Years back in the mid 70's and let me say this... - No MC at that time could even come close...!! What Dam Skuzuki are you talking about ? The only Mc that came close was a KZ1000...!
@FuzzyLeeNations Hey man! My Norton Commando just took a pee on your Cow-wheeze kick stand! ha ha! And my dog can eat yours.....for breakfast! So there! Mr.Poopie-Pants....
Come on guys! A stock Kawa H2 weighs 191kg (420lbs) dry and makes 74bhp to give you a 1/4 mile standing start time of 12.3 seconds at a terminal speed of 105mph and building up to her maximum top speed of 120mph. (Cycle magazine)
A stock 2009 Suzuki GSX-R 750 weighs only 167kg (368lb), makes twice the horsepower 147bhp and gives a standing 1/4 mile time of 10.8 seconds with a terminal speed of 144 mph and building to a top speed of 160mph. (Same source)
@blackhat400 The brag was about STOCK bikes, not special-prep drag specials, remember? Especially not a drag special versus a stock bike. Hell, old Burt Munro's fastest 1920 Indian still holds an all-comers Bonneville Utah speed record even if the stock model only wheezed to about 50mph back in 1920! A stock H2 makes 74hp and will be beaten at top end by a Norton Commando of the same vintage; a stock modern Gixxer makes 147hp and a whopping 40mph more -- no contest! Really!
@PaulKasner The H2 have 2 cilinders, 74bhp vs 147 in the gsx, more 24kg, "only" 32+ years old, and you come here take the credit of kawa? remember with a low prep giving the kawa 147bhp, reducing its weigth in 24kg, and and slightly increasing the aerodynamic, will be rare to find a gsx-r who reaches it
I thought the bike was pretty big back then but seems small now compared to the heavyweight bikes nowadays, like the rest of us humans.
I still prefer the bikes of the early 1970s, I weighed only 118 lbs at 6 feet high then, they were pretty fast for me. I still have my Z1 and even a KH500. The KH500 handles like a good 125.
they didnt call it the widow maker for nothing and this bike still holds the record for killing the most riders compared to how many were made in a few years they are a blast and ive seen them run 8 s
I purchased my new blue H2 from Chuck and Patty Loomis [ Loomis cycle sales on kennedy ave. in hammond indiana. This is a small tribute to them, they were the most devoted couple in the motorcycle business, and sold alot of bikes back in the 70's and 80's. I bought a total of five kawasakis myself, along with three snowmobiles as well. Thanks to both of you for a great time!
Heaps of grunt.... pop a power-on wheelie at a flick of the throttle.... A mate of mine was killed riding a H2..... I had a ride on it a couple of times..... all it wanted to do was climb trees!
The H2 was ugly to look at and sounded like shit...but they demanded respect when it came to performance.
Gorgeous bike, but are they the right pipes for that model? I always promised myself an H2 one day, had an H1B in the 70's and regret selling it for £400 in 1981 (PDC 823M where are you?). I have a 1300 XJR at the moment and can't understand why i didn't get an H2 instead, although i'm very happy with my bike. The Yam has lost £4000 in 9 years - your bike has probably increased in value more in that time! Let the good times roll.
Yes definately the right pipes..i,m a bit funny about my bikes being completely standard. I,ve had it since 1985 and its now just part of the family like our dog. Its my pension in twenty years time lol lol... Seriously though it just makes you feel great every time you hear it start up... that burble from the 3 pipes and just looking at the size of that 750cc 2-stroke engine is enough to make everything alright with the world..
Had an S1 back in the day Terry Beckett tuned and it never let me down. As H2's are so expensive in the UK I always wondered if you had a decent KH250/400 could you drop in an H2 engine with a few mods. Wondered if these bikes all shared the same frame, forks, running gear etc, sure looks like it.
Absolutely no way can you fit the H2 engine straight into the KH.. I have just sold a KH last year and the KH is so small compared to the H2. The H2 Engine is much bigger. You would have to cut the front frame downtubes to fit one in and hope the barrels would,nt catch on the front wheel.. would be an interesting project though... ALL Running gear is bigger on the H2
Beautiful 72!!! I bought a brand new 73 in Sept. 73,just had started my Sr year in HS. It was Gold/orange color that year (and purple was available also). I had it 10 years. I wish I still had it. This 72 still has the stock pipes which is VERY rare!
Many a time in the past i have decided i,m bored with something and sold it only to wish I had not. Well i,ve had this H2 for 25 years and will be keeping it for another 25 at least... I,m posting another video of it soon so keep watching..
Yep, my dream of resurrecting this legend and actually riding it on the road has come true. Just lifting the dust sheet and having a quick look every now and again at this beautiful machine makes everything alright with the world....
ye , it's probably illegal to drive it here (begiumm) because of pollution you'd be paying huge taxes....not to mention the gas & oil tht thing drinks
Your quite right ... very well done

Face it -- the Kawa comes nowhere.

@PaulKasner -Now paul look for "Smokin Joe" H2, see him waste all fourstrokes 9.7secs
And baxter [ usa] has the "World record 750cc" -7.8secs on an H2 ,
wake-up and smell the Smokee .
