This is, hands down, the most frightening song I've ever seen..... And I love it.... His voice is perfect for this song...... My god, it gives me the chills each time I listen to it.... Justin is such an amazing artist, musician, and lyricist. I absolutely love him
Approaching Normal song cycle wraps with a shocker, "The End." This tale of an unstable man self-tortured by jealously is as frightening as any song ever recorded. You won't find it on the "clean" edit version of the album...it's that scary. "There are crazy stories on this album and this one is purely theatrical...I've just always been fascinated with what people think they can get away with...what in their brain is making them say `that's OK.'"
I actually love them so so so so much. I can't get to go see them when they come here and I cried for a while about it! This song is definately their most disturbing but it's so powerful! Does anyone whether it's based on his marriage or anything?
Last Friday in Hammond they played this video during Dirt Room and it scared the crap out of me! lol It makes more sense for this song, though, which is why I was confused that they played it for DR. Hmm. Oh well. Again, thanks for the great quality video!! I love re-living the show I saw!
When they did what? Played the video on the wrong song? lol Yeah it was just last Friday, and I didn't see too many people recording. I even got yelled at once during Hate Me (the last song they played), and I only got a few seconds on video. I don't really want to put them on YT though, b/c I'm afraid they'd get pulled for copyright infringement. =\
justin was mad when they played the video during dirt room. You could see him yelling and telling them to shut it off. You shouldnt get it pulled, ive got some up from the last time they were in Chicago at the fuel room
lol Oh, you were there too? I didn't realize! But yeah, I saw him waving at them, but I thought it was for them to tone down one of the background sounds. Which I believe did die down a bit after he flailed at them, lol. I thought it was strange they'd play that video during dirt room! XD
Hmm. Once I put some videos up of lyrics for Blue October songs, with the songs playing in the background, and they all got pulled! And especially since I got yelled at in Hammond for recording... y'know?
it sounds like he's gotta be using a cover or something cause its so good, like u can tell its live but its awesome...blue october live as always just as good if not better than in the album
Everyone should see Blue October in concert. They put on such a great high energy performace. You will never ever forget it. I saw them back in '04 on the History for Sale tour, at Click's in Tyler. I've been trying to go to another concert since, but something always gets in the way.
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! this is right here is exactly what makes them the best band ever! WHEN THEIR LIVE SHOW SOUNDS GREAT THROUGH A VIDEO CAMERA!!! THATS WHEN YOU KNOW A BAND IS AMAZING!
One of my favorite bands. Glad to see they're getting exposure outside of Texas. This is probably their darkest song to date, but I can't help loving it. The clarity on this video is pretty good. What kind of camera do you have?
Oh goodness, all I could think while hearing this was Edgar Allen Poe. Especially the rhythm and repeating "all I saw was red" almost like "nevermore" or "rapping at my chamber door." That kind of distirbing, repetitious, surrealism. Like it's so strange that it shouldn't be beautiful, but it is.
wow.....i dont have words to describe how amazing this song really is...its brutal dark but so true. Amazing. I'll witness this performance for myself in 4 days
The emotion in his voice, added to such deep dark lyrics and sound, make is overwhelmingly creepy. Yet, beautiful and addicting. It's amazing how many emotions this man can bring to life in a simple 4 minutes 52 seconds. Simply amazing.
pritty good
