  • Sorry, just read the comments--apparently its a jammed Damper. Much apologies!

  • Just beautiful.

  • There are actually two of these sirens here in Morganfield. The other is for storm warnings only. When they both are going off it's spooky around here!

  • @gtr71 Just looked on google maps and found the other one. I bet it does sound creepy when they are both going off.

  • @TheWeatherGuys Yeah it's over by St. Ann's Catholic Church.

    I don't know if it's a 2T22 or a 3T22, never looked that close.

  • @gtr71 Was down in Morganfield yesterday and the other siren is a 2T22

  • are there fewer horns on the bottom row? it looks like there are gaps on the bottom row while the top is more uniform.

  • @ratherlargetuna The Siren has 22 Horns Total......The Bottom Row has 10 horns and the Top Row has 12 Horns.....these match up with 10 Ports on the Bottom Chopper, and 12 on the Top Chopper......in a Sense this is two Sirens Driven by One motor.....Definetly one of the Best Sounding and Looking Sirens ever made.

  • @ratherlargetuna yes. this is a 10/12 port dual-tone siren. te top is 12, and the bottom is 10. there is 1 horn per port, so you have 10 horns on the bottom and 12 hons on top. that's why it seems less uniform on the bottom.

  • That would be an easy fix, just unjam the damper and inspect it, but of course they would have an excuse not to do that....

  • Did they fix the siren? Or was it replaced?

  • @twotailedavenger Neither. It's still sitting there on the pole going of daily at noon like it is supposed to do, damper still broke.

  • @TheWeatherGuys I'm thankful for your vid, but, could you ask the EMA to take a look at that damper?

  • @rnbsteenstar Sure! I'll go back sometime and see if it is already fixed and if it's not I'll call them and let them know. Thanks for the comment!

  • that thing looks scarry

  • Sounds like it Needs a High end Solenoid. Sounds Very healthy!

  • Omg that is an awesome veiw.

  • Wow thats really cool you can hear how it's supposted to sound, but isn't quite fully on hi-lo.

  • when the Siren Starts does the Rotor Grind against the housing for a second?

  • i think that's the intake dampers opening up.

  • a Very Nice Errie "end of the World" sound this one makes....sends chills down my spine!

  • it did with me

  • Strong 3T22B!!! :D Should last another 10-20 years! The High end solenoid must have Burned up, Or it malfunctioned. 5ed and Faved.

  • i like how you can hear the bottom solenoid activate when it winds up.

this siren sounds a bit sick without the top one tho. :(

  • That area gives it some really nice echo.

  • Nice sounding 3T22B! The top solenoid probably burned out, or the spring on it could've broken.

  • Lots of torque on the motor when it starts. Still sounds pretty good!

  • Too cool!

  • Great sounding 3T22. :)
