really, dont get me wrong, but it just seems really wrong to see Noel playing songs like dont look back in anger with another band. I dont know if you get my point, but this music made/is making OASIS live forever and it makes me uncomfortable to see it being played by another band.. i dont know, maybe i just cant accept the fact i will never go to an oasis gig

I don't know why but both Noel and Liam got occasional Old-lady/Kermit-the-frog voices as they were growing older. Good version though

I don't miss Liam at all. You know what? My greatest regret is called Gem fookin' Archer. If only Noel had acted faster, I'm sure we'd have him playing lead/rhythm guitar, and HFB would be greater than they are. Don't get me wrong, they are AMAZING. But I miss that sort of alchemy between two great musicians, that Noel and Gem are. And he's totally wasted with Beady Eye.

Hell, this is as great as when the late Oasis played it. I'm really pleased so far with the High Flying Birds. As soon as Whitey left, there was no classic Oasis sound anymore in my opinion, anyways. Don't miss Andy and even Gem a bit.

thanks for the reply marktt73. I figured so much as it was at the Broadcast house. Noel is here in Toronto now. (Nov. 4) Playing a 30 minute acoustic set at a place called The Mod Club. He then plays 2 sold out nights at the Legendary "Massey Hall" also here in Toronto. I'm a photographer and was at the HMV forum show last week in London. Truly sensational is Noel's songwriting. This new album is the best album of the year, no doubt.

it's too fast/hard. drummer is going mental! i love noel but i think in the long run he will struggle fronting a band live, his vocals are good but not excellent here, and he just seems less comfortable. i think he should put out a few more records, tour acoustically, and then maybe give little brother a call.

that said, he's a legend, a terrific songwriter, and his playing - e.g. the solo here - is never less than perfect.
