I hadn't seen this before. Great little piece. I have read most of the good Professors books. He is spot on. Precise, articulate and witty. I can't wait to see him branch out on some other topics. I know he has deep knowledge on many topics, but is waiting in the wings to break out!

Finkelstein is a compelling speaker to be sure--with his intense gaze and understated, deliberate delivery--but his content is pitiful. Constant strawmen [7:47 “The question is if (the Holocaust) can justify the ethnic cleansing of the Palestines”], intellectual dishonesty (9:20 “The examples you cited didn’t pertain directly to the Nazi Holocaust”), and ad hominems ("Israel is a Satanic state," 5:10 “Finkelstein on Gaza Massacre”). He is simply a Sophist, masquerading as intelligentsia.

Nobody in israel today has the balls to confront finkelstein in a debate and this is one of the reasons israel - the greatest democracy in the m. east..lol - forbade his entrance! @kfritz100 This video most likely made by the Dutch. The Dutch dictionary defines 'publicist' as: "A writer about state affaris", "A writer about public or political affairs" and simply "A journalist". In american/english, Finkelstein is often labeled as "independent scholar".

Chomsky had said himself that he feels that as a speaker, he isn't very appealing. Finkelstein is a bad ass, though. His measured manner of speaking often has me laughing out loud.
