  • Buy the expensive warrenty plan and u get US tech support. I did with my XPS M1210 and they came to my house. Replaced the screen (which was NOT the issue) tech called suport told them my screen was not the issue...he said i was pissed (i wasnt i was like ohh well...mehh) and they sent him back 2days later with the motherboard (gpu was fried on mine).....and a bezel, and a back panel for the screen. Sooo i got an all new chassis and a new screen and motherboard. For free.

  • Thanks for video dude. I was going to order Alienware M17x but after watching your video I will definitely buy Asus G73. I think Alienware is piece of junk after watching many complaint about it. If you cannot use your laptop sell it and buy Asus G73 or Toshiba Qosmio X505. They are better than Alienware

  • Everything you have just said applies to all those fancy expensive brands. I have had a similar experience with Skullcandy heaphones as well. After a while they either just hang up, never send you a replacement product or keep your money. I REALLY wanted to buy an Alienware laptop but after doing some research it seems that nobody is happy with the customer service.

  • My problem with this blog is that you are leaving out most of the story. You didn't start from the beginning. How long did you own it before problems started, what was the issue, and did you stop making payments on the laptop. I own an M15x R2 and an M17x R2 and both are perfectly fine. The small problem I did have with them was cleared up within days with no problems. They were very helpful.

  • I own the MX 15 - 5 months out it got video issues. 3 months, all my rollover minutes later , one ship back to Dell/Texas ( returned to me damaged by them) & one home visit ( tech left my chasis with gaps & lid cracks & makes poping sounds) I can now say I wasted $2,400.00 on Junk. Buy IBuypower, MTech or Sager but Dell/Alienware should get out of the pc business - read My3cents/Consumercomplaints or BBB -- y'all been warned

  • Okay I personally own an Alienware M17x, with which I type this message on now, and A: It is the best computer I have ever used in my life. B: They have had the best tech support I have ever used before. C: They did not call you an ass hole, I do not buy that at all. D: You ARE an ass hole though, i will say it for us all. Alienware is an amazing brand and have had wonderful support from them. This video you have made is completely useless and a bad attempt at a rant.

I like how you sit there and call me a flamer, and then do what all flamers do when someone disputes a video like this: "how long have you been on their payroll?!?!?" In the three months since I commented on this, my M17x has had a total of zero issues. So again, your luck does not constitute downing an entire brand, especially since you leave out a great deal of the story.

  • Hmm, i gotta say Dell has every right to refuse service to you, and the way your dealing with people comments, means you might not have thought about this through as well as you think. Now from what your saying in the Vid, is that your warranty ran out, if this is the case then all Dell can say is, we can't help you, and if your response is rude then in all rights they can hang up, I'm not saying you wrong but, Wareanty= Help, no Warranty = none, how the world works.

  • @pillenata I assume you're talking about 720sephiroth well if someone wants to start a comment with several insults they can expect both barrels back in their face. Now here is the problem with your comment the calls were not rude until Dell Tech Support started demanding money after running the clock out for 2 months. If they had given help when I called 2 months before the warranty ran out there would be no problem but instead they put me on hold until we got disconnected hence the problem.

Just i have recently purchase an M17X which i am typing this comment from... It's never done ANYTHING wrong. Its actually quite a beautiful machine.

  • @720Sephiroth It's ok we all have bad days the fact is it is still a doorstop and now im using a E-Machines computer my job requires I have a comp so better a p.o.s. then being fired. My M17 failed about 10 months after receiving it. I hope you have a better experience then I did.

  • @Pr0gr4m Well I don't know about Ideal but let me sum it up this way I discovered my Computer has a unadvertised mode... DOORSTOP MODE!!! Now we can add that to the PAPERWEIGHT MODE and we got one versatile P.O.S.! Unfortunately The Warranty expires 1yr from the ship date not when you receve the comp good luck my friend you're gonna need it.

  • Can't you just format the PC? Frankly mate, Alienware makes beautiful PCs with ferocious hardware to boot, so no matter how many customers aren't return customers, Alienware still made 1-2.5k out of that one customer alone. Plus the money made from that customer calling customer support for hour after hour. Ontop of that, no matter how much complaining is done, there will always be many people willing to buy from Alienware.
