Delta has very few A-380's. In fact, they have none. They fly B-737,747, 757, 767, 777. They have 787 on order but will probably never take delivery because Boeing was so intent on outsourcing they screwed the plane up royally. They also fly A319, 320 and 330-200 and -300. In terms of Douglas they fly DC-9-30, -40, -50 and MD-80 and 90. They have the capacity to fine tune every route. Some routes demand a MD-90, others a A-320, and still others a 737-800. Fine tuning is key.

I agree the US doesn't need A380s....but US airlines not going global? Tell that to Delta...they fly to Europe, Asia, Japan, and thats just a few GLOBAL destinations. US Airways flies all over Europe, as does American, Continental, Northwest (now Delta), United and many more.

Yes but you see. They are not doing well. Why? Because these airlines do not have enough money to fly there all the time. And im sure we both know that you have to haev quite the entertaining airplane for a 6 hour flight over the ocean. The US airlines are really going broke if thet continue. They should just stick to there Canadian and American and carabien routes.
