  • funny thing in that it still feels like a lynch film.

    regardless of the subject matter-

his style is pervasive and endures thru-out this great film-hence the mark of a legendary film maker

  • What the gall dern hell you doin' layin on the floor. ):|

  • TRULY A CLASSIC ... WE LOVE THIS MOVIE, AND JUST FINISHED WATCHING IT AGAIN.

  • Music is nearly IDENTICAL to Twin Peaks....though no complaints here :)

  • Love love love this movie. Major detour for David lynch but a great piece of film making

  • What an idiot....what is he SCARED of an operation??? Or some tests??? It could greatly improve his quality of life!! He would be able to get around better!!! What a stubborn asshole to not even get a walker....and then still smoke and not control his diabetes. Idiot.

  • @GAYPRIDE1985

'idiot..;what is he scared of an operation???'

Oh yeah, trust the doctors, buy their pills, it's all for your good, especially stuff like AZT of course, GREAT STUFF, hmmm, yummy! Operations are wonderful, and surgeons are so cute, hmm, they are so ...SEXY!!!

Perhaps you've been to a few too many 'prides' and lost your brain amidst the cackling, gobbling crowds?

  • My son lived in Clermont, IA while a first officer on heavies for NWA-MSP. During a visit in 2005, I spoke with a family who met Alvin, he was described as "cantankerous and lovable". This movie should be required watching for anyone encountering family problems. An excellent work, thoroughly underrated. Richard Farnsworth had been diagnosed with cancer just prior to the filming of this movie, this work serves as his epitaph.

  • David Lynch is GOD.....

  • poor richard farnsworth. Rest in peace, Buddy

  • I saw this movie today,he has touched me deeply..thanks for posting!!

  • Ok. I know I'm missing something. What is the big deal about David Lynch?

  • @jacobsmomma1000 If you wanna know, watch Blue Velvet, Lost Highway, Twin Peaks or Mulholland Drive. He's well known for making very good, albeit very strange and surrealist movies. He also did Eraserhead, maybe you've heard of that.

  • The opening, visually and with Angelo's music is so much like Twin Peaks. This movie is very easy to follow, unlike many of Lynch's films, but it is just as beautiful as any.

  • "What's the number for 9-1-1?" I always love when people ask that question!

  • This is such an usual film for David Lynch but i love it.

  • > Walt Disney pictures presents...

    *taking a drink*

    > A film by DAVID LYNCH

    *EPIC SPIT TAKE*

  • straight story...lol don't know wht the movie is about yet but sound like a antigay movie lolool

  • this was an brilliantly unassuming film by director david lynch, with an acadamy award given to richard farnsworth for best actor. for students of film, this represents several oddities in the catalog of director lynch, namely that it was rated G and that it was done for walt disney. also notable are the generous arial shots - a first (and last) for lynch.

  • @MrBlairblack Lynch has done arial shots before (Dune) and after (Mulholland Dr.) he did The Straight Story. Mr. Farnsworth was nominated for an academy award, yes, but did not win.

  • @Centron93 ... the woman is eating a snack cake made by Hostess snack cakes .... they're called Hostess Sno Balls ... chocolate cake covered by pink colored marshmallow .... the last thing this fat woman should be eating ...

  • @Zayrack Is this what you have managed to come up with in the context of this brilliant film?

    A joke?

  • yes, this is an absolutely wonderful film

  • @samspace81; Anybody That Says The Contrary Haven`t Had Any Experience in Life What So Ever, And i´m Not So Old.

  • It's amazing film

Thank you David and thank that you like Poland

  • David Lynch?!? The same David Lynch who is a classic for Blue Velvet? The guy who did Lost Highway? Working with Disney? It's strange, but it just may be good.

  • @SuperDude2569 It is good.

  • good film
