YAYYYYYYYY! Hershey's needs to get a clue & support fair trade - personally I don't like to think of what children have been through when I eat chocolate that isn't fair trade. I've seen the company from CA closed, just moved south where they pay the people about $3.-$4. that is so sad, they are making the bucks, and we are paying the high prices over here. I've seen big companies going big over there. It's not Mexico's falt its the company that leaves everyone jobless over here.

Excuse me but yes the factory is till there as well as Hershey Theater, Zoo, Rose Gardens, Giant Center, Museum, Amusement Park and Chocolate World. If you would have done a 1 minute Google Search prior to posting you would have found all of this out on your own and avoided posting false information.

Tours no longer go through the main plant but go through Chocolate World instead unless it is a special arrangement. Post the facts next time please.

I went there it was awesome!!!!! the best one was the 3d movie it was the best i have ever went!!! best movie ever!! it was like real!! even had stuff falling on you while watching it!! like water snow winds ballons and sparkels it was awsome u gotta see it and be there to acually know whats its like!!!

I live like 15 miles from there. My mom used to work there before going on disability. Before that happened, I got a real tour of the real factory, limited to to family of the employee. Got to try some freshly made chocolate paste fresh off the roller things that churn the chocolate, yum lol They make like 20-25 bucks an hour, plus great benefits, but the people there complain thats not enough, no wonder its going to shut down. And its not hard work either. Its all mostly automated machines, etc

Hershey is a great town, as my mom (and my '69 Vista Cruiser) lives two towns east in Annville.

It's very scenic, as Milton S. Hershey wanted to make a great place to live for his employees, as he took great pride in taking care of them.

MSH would roll over in his grave if he knew what the Hershey Trust has done to his company and "his" employees.

Most of that stuff you see on the tour is the OLD way. Now they outsource the cocoa in powder form. I used to work in the factory, and they don't even have the presses anymore. They sold them. And without the presses it's impossible to make chocolate from beans. Now they are closing plants all over the country and laying off thousands here in Hershey and sending those jobs to Mexico. Milton would roll over in his grave if he knew what they did to his company.
