The book is so amazing,you have to make sure that the traduction is good,i'm acctually reading a french version with the traduction of Pierre Pascal,it took my breath away,made me feel raskolnikov perfectly!i prefered to finish the novel and then watch it but i couldn't countain myself loool!can anyone tell me the name of the actor.?
@CityofDestiny the Book is absolutely amazing you should really invest some time to reading it, it is another perspective beyond what people can see as from an omniscient narrator.
@nounever No kidding. Did you know that Dostoevsky originally intended to write this in the first person? He completed the first several chapters in that fashion before reverting back to this narration style. Had he continued on in that vein, it would have read a lot more like NFU.

Yes, the interview with Porfiry is a masterpiece of psychological argumentation, it's the brilliant in the mud of this novel.
