  • Anyone ever hear the HE-MAN version of this song? Funny stuff.

  • @BMassey1987 AND I SAID HEYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYEEEEEEEEEEYEEE

  • look up a song called Jared Loughner by Terroar: binaural and psychadelic

  • Who is singing this song here? this r not 4 non blondes, than someone else. who is singing? xD

  • Very cool sound. Great performance too!

  • urr shit

  • LOL! I love it. It sounds like you're right in the room with them. Too bad not all music is recorded like that.

  • this is great

  • You have to model those ears better than that for this to work.

  • Lovely. Got a nice pair of headphones and keep coming back to this.

You've mentioned this will be available for download, but I'm guessing you never got around to it - is it possible you can still provide the raw audio for this? I'd love to hear it in its original quality.

  • awesome ... just ...awesome

  • Awesome not heard this song in years XD

  • This sounds great! Really sounds like Im sitting in the middle of the room with you guys/girls playing round me. Keep it up. I like your 'simulated head microphone' idea. Great interesting concept.

  • Such detail went into face features, but the ears where left out. Given their facture can (and will most likely) augment the binaural recordings spatialness, the head model, for it's initial purpose, is laking a lot. I would recomend scalping out the ear regions and re-3d printing, sculpting out new ears, with much greater attention to detail.

  • @monoframe - yeah deffinately, the ears are a little odd. I think when recording that it should be specified which type of headphone should be used for playback. i.e. if the recording is made with realistic ears, then it should be listened back to on ear bud type headphones to avoid doubling the affects of the pinna on the localisation and visa versa using cup headphones to get the affect of a pinna if no ears are used in recording...just a thought ;)

  • is there a chance you could send me the original wav i'd love to hear the full quality version

  • you should do it with drums and guitar that way the sounds will be more distinguished (cant spell that :D)

  • amazing

  • All music should be recorded like this. Even if they don't make it 3d, it just sounds awesome in headphones..and doesn't sound like you're listening to headphones.. :P

  • realy realystic, like saround

  • great voice...

  • There should be more music in Binaural effect :D

  • don't worry, be happy!

sounds like the same chord progression in some parts.

  • Great song! had a hard time pointing out sound source directions though. What's the song name? You should upload this somewhere else uncompressed so people can download it.

  • I have a hardcore remix of this song

  • wow it sounds so real

  • this is really cool .........make more please....

  • cool voice

    really cool voice

    awesome voice

    omg.....your voice!

    omg omg omg

  • Its sounds like the singers to my left and the rest of the band is to my right! and a shaker or tambourine is behind me

  • pfarabee - yes the head was on a chair he he. Good localisation there! Noted for the future.

Thanks for your comments. I will be recording some more soon and will post them up on here and also for download.

  • Wow this is awesome, i close my eyes, and i can feel like im actually in the room with you guys its so cool,

  • One thing I might suggest, raise your mics to head level when you record. If I had to guess, I'd say you were setting the fake head or whatever down on a chair when recording, because the sound sources sound like they are a bit above the listener. If you adjusted this a bit, it would feel like I was sitting in a chair there in a room with people jamming in it :)

    Still awesome :)

  • I know I would love to get a copy of this recording.

Classic song, and a great performance of it, love how binaural recording changes it.

  • Sounds a litte like you where behind me...

  • Great experimentation..!! you should keep recording some more songs...

  • I used two omni-directional electret microphones implanted into a dummy head at the ear position. The original .wav recording is far more spacious as a lot of the quality was lost on upload to youtube :(

  • why don't you upload it to rapidshare or something?? great anyway.

  • @lalunalight you Tube is all about Quantity Not Quality, but it give a goo idea. i know, i've been field recording now for a number of years and have just discovered Poo Toob .but it good enough to give your friends and family an idea of what you do

  • @lalunalight Do you happen to know the make/model of those mics? I've wanted to goof around with this, but the only mics that i can find are these really expensive German brand. Well, "really expensive" from the POV of a guy who wants to screw around with binaural recordings. :) Also, was the head rubberized or anything? I've wondered if that would affect the sound.

  • Very nice! Great song

  • I read that listening to Binaural Recordings realeses endorphins?

  • congratulation for natural sound and binaural recording!

    I like it:)

  • loved the 2nd voice... nice rec too

  • Yeah, what mics did you use for this?

  • Hey which microphones were used ?

  • Very nice recording.

Good to see you using REAL binaural recording.

Your voices are uncannilly in my room :)

Too many idiots out there are using the word quite wrongly, even in their website names.
