Very few moments made me tear up in Smallville, most have choked me up, but this was such a powerful moment in the mythos, in my opinion there were a lot of Lex and Clark scenes where you know that they're friendship is over, but this scene right here where they lock faces is what in my view defines it, and it just made me tear up because the emotional acting is so amazing with no words, that's how brilliant these actors were just the lock froze every moment in time for that couple of seconds.

Wow I love it how everyone portraits Lex as the Ultimate Villain. Let's not forget the maniacal bastard Lionel has been throughout his life. Molding the malleable mind of a young and innocent Lex Luthor into who he became. One good deed doesn't erase a lifetime of wrong doing. @VTGuffMstr Clark believes everyone is redeemable (stupid belief) and Clark saw that Lionel had redeemed himself. But if your claiming that Lionel is to blame for what Lex becomes then you can hardly forget to note that Clark himself is responsible for what Lex became (which is why he could never completely let go of Lex), all the years of lying to Lex and not trusting him, played a big part in his transformation. I personally don't think Lex in the Ultimate Villian.

This is the scene where you can see the darkness part of clark the part that started to come out when his dad died the part that helps him become the super man he is today lol but no really you most prob going to say what am i talking about but you no superman in the comics he will do what must be done and if that is to kill so be it this clark will not kill under no reason what so ever so i dont think the darkness leaves him i think he imbrases it and uses it to become a better hero.

@deathcube35 Well Lex closed the funeral so no one could come. But I think it echoes to what said Lex like in Season 2 where they were still friends. He said that only kings would come to his dad's funeral, and those kings are right there, representing the ultimate good and evil. Bring back the true lex for the series finale that would be awesome.

I just had a thought. You know how Clark and Lex were like brothers, and Lionel became like a father to Clark? Well, I was thinking of what's been going on on "Supernatural" and how Clark and Lex's relationship is a lot like the one between the Archangels Lucifer and Michael. Think about it - Clark is Michael, who's loyal to the father; Lex is Lucifer, who betrays both his father and brother. Just a thought.
