  • i was like holy shit thats huge until i saw the ear tag

  • I would get a migraine with those antlers, but they look adorable

  • For certain not tame - When we were in Yellowstone I saw him bury his antlers in a jeeps engine twice after he chased the owner back to his car. Would have made a very interesting call to the insurance company I`m sure.

  • @everlasting1111 Tame? Hahaha!!! Thats funny. He was an ass kickin, car killin, 900 pounds of bull. I've hunted elk my whole life and never seen one do things #6 would/could do.

  • lets shoot the damm thing

  • Elk: Look at my nice antlers--Look at my nice antlers. Give me a piece of bread pretty please! :)

  • Elk: Do I think this guy should stop filming me, (press 1 and two rapidly)

  • that is a tame elk red tag on its ear

  • @everlasting1111

He is the famous #6 from Yellowstone

  • press 3 and 4 rapidly

  • who got the rack?

  • I was really sad to hear that #6 had passed on due to getting his antlers stuck in the fence out behind my cousins house in Gardiner. What a magnificent animal.

  • Magnificent footage of a beautiful creature! What an awesome stroke of luck you had getting this close!

  • This guy was hanging out in my driveway when I was living in Gardiner. I actually had to call my work and let them know I would be late because he was basically blocking my only door out... but what I did was open my door a little bit and offered him a piece of bread. He ate it then was sniffing me for more and we basically touched nose to nose it was pretty amazing being so close to this 7 foot tall creature. I then just fed him another piece and snuck off to work.

  • wow, that would have been very cool

  • Hahahahahaha, he was fun to watch up there. This was before he was the dominant Bull in Mammoth. This video was just above the Hot Springs area, up from the main highway. It is a shame he is gone. He was awesome to film. I have much more video I plan to share on Youtube

  • wow, he was a beautiful bull! too bad he's gone now :(

  • well, good photography! Very well done.

  • Is this a yellowstone elk? If not, you did a heck of a job getting this close......

  • Yeah, he is the famous "#6" that hangs out near the town of Mammoth. This was a few years before he took over up there. He is just an amazing Elk. I love to film him away from the town. The only drawback is the tag in his left ear. Not natural

  • Was this before or after the video where he rammed cars?To be honest,I was rooting for him,lol
