2nd part: I am not arguing pro dictatorship, I am saying certain circumstances require certain specific measure, in this case, type of government. By just stating some facts and act ideologically can cause pretty results. Look at Afghanistan what the forced democracy has brought us. Democracy is a question of time in China. Just not Now. The Miao are an ethnic group who live in China and the drum is an important instrument in their culture. In the ancient past during times of war, drums were used to boost the morale of their soldiers, intimidate the enemy and to send secret messages.

I apologize if I may have misled you, blazer168. The drum had many other uses in Miao culture, and war was just one of them. They were also used for entertainment, during sacrificial offerings and special ceremonies.

One example is its significance in funeral rites. Drums are played during funerals as it is believed that the sound drives away the spirit of the deceased helps it reach the afterlife.
