mao killed more than 100 million chinese people. japan killed 5 million chinese in world war 2. chinese can't stop talking about how awful japanese were. china, look yourself in the mirror. you live in a communist dictatorship. your hands are red with blood of innocent people who wants freedom and democracy.
if you have looked closer you would know Mubarack was in power for so long because he was supported by the western governments due to his pro Israel position. And look what happened at Iran when the last dictator in form of the Shah was driven away from the Iranian people. Yes, you have now a anti Western, nuclear bomb threatening, islamic state that is even worse under the dictatorship of the Shah.
2nd part: I am not arguing pro dictatorship, I am saying certain circumstances require certain specific measure, in this case, type of government. By just stating some facts and act ideologically can cause pretty results. Look at Afghanistan what the forced democracy has brought us. Democracy is a question of time in China. Just not Now. You should rather look at the broader picture.
Egypt's time might have come. Hopefully things will turn good.
what an amazing tradition it is of your ancestors! I am an Indian drummer and am stunned to see so many playing in such perfect harmony and tempo and chemistry! Please tell me more about this tradition. Hope to play with these people some day!
The Miao are an ethnic group who live in China and the drum is an important instrument in their culture. In the ancient past during times of war, drums were used to boost the morale of their soldiers, intimidate the enemy and to send secret messages.
I apologize if I may have misled you, blazer168. The drum had many other uses in Miao culture, and war was just one of them. They were also used for entertainment, during sacrificial offerings and special ceremonies.
One example is its significance in funeral rites. Drums are played during funerals as it is believed that the sound drives away the spirit of the deceased helps it reach the afterlife.

no Drumming has more significance than just boosting morale. It was also used in solar eclipses and other ceremonies.
