This engine will outlast any vehicle in the world. I own a 1988 chevy which is getting close to 500K km on it on the factory engine, but this car here, the "Brutus" that will outlast anything.
@cromartie800 rich sociopaths drive armorcased SUVs or limousines, not cool cars. You must become aware of that they're stupid people, abusing people who are not aware of them.
i would have love to met the bloke who went in to work one day and said "err guys you know that plane engine we got out the back..... i got an idea" what a legend

BOAH.
Technology really is the bridge here, you get 4 cylinder 2 liter japanese cars from recent times that shit all over this in performance after some tuning or even 2 cylinder rotors :P
It looks like most of the flames are coming out of the intake manifold. i dunno i can't really tell. i know its also coming out of the collector on the bottom of the screen.
Yes, it is made just some yers ago: Objective was FUN! It is a real historic aero BMW engine made for a zeppelin.#The car is made a bit in the shape of the Blitzen Benz fromthe 1920ies.
It's a BMW VI engine used in different airplanes like the Heinkel He9 and the Dornier Wal. 46.93 litres and 550hp at 1530 rpm (750hp possible for a short time)
@Siopus I thought something was wrong here since the car is supposed to be from 1908. After WW2 Germany was not allowed to have an air force so they had engines in excess causing these guys to build a race car based on the 1926 BMW VI. The only chassis they could find that would hold it was an American 1908 American LaFrance - hence my original confusion. It took years to build the car so it was probably not finished until sometime in the 50's.
WAIT THERE IS A HUGE PROBLEM! How do you order your food at the drive through?
It is to loud.

What's with the odd flames? It looks like all the exhausts go into a single collector, but flames are coming from each header pipe as well.
