@Sox8055 Its a physical screening test. You have to pass them or your contract is taken away. they give you one chance after a failure and if you still don't pass its gone. Don't rush into anything. Recruiters are a bitch and almost screwed me over a few times. doesn't seem right don't do it. If they don't give you what you want tell them to fuck off and you'll go to another recuiter. I suggest getting a book to study first and take plenty of practice tests. Once you join the navy you pick a job and you take a PST and if you pass that you take a phyc eval called CSORT and if you get a good score with that you reclass to SEAL and sign an enlistment bonus. Seals where to take down an airfield but the mission failed. Inter service rivalry sparked a controversy and the army was pissed off because Seals don't take down airfields (which the army does have a point). Army Rangers or 101st or 82nd (paratroopers) numbers in strength are to lead these type's of operations.

SEALs train for everything. I'm sure SAS is not capable of swimming 6 miles in the ocean. SAS needs different squadrons for different terrans. But SEALs training in everything.. SAS would def not pass SEALs training, probably mentallity wise but not physically wise.

In our chain of command the Commandant of the Marine Corps is under the Secretary of the Navy.

No, that's wrong... as a Marine you can go on orders and complete Buds and if they complete the training then they're enlisted as in the Navy SEALs. Side fact, Marines, do have both of those special ops but we're not recognized under SOCOM (Special Operations Command)...

Acculy you have to do army airborn school to join its PJs or CCTs and their SF go to Army ranger school to better themselfs. and they also do joint training with the army to help inprove their security forces and sruff like that. most people dont know that but in the air force you can and some are required to train with other branches.

dude. you cant really compare special forces. they all have different missions. Delta is more hostage rescue and direct action working wit the rangers. They do more inland operations. SEALs are direct action but for more discrete operations concerning targets near the water. the only really comparable Spec Ops are Recon and Seals and then you can compare Delta and Berets, and Pararescue is in a league of its own.
Honestly, wiki does not provide much and that fact that I can clearly see where you got your information from. First off, SEALs is not MORE into concerning targets near water, it's somewhat the reason that makes them special and apart from other special forces. But SEALs are overall, SEA, Air, Land. SEALs were the first one to go in Middle East and the first to go into Vietnam and especially last to leave Vietnam. Don't think SEALs are MORE into water. They do everything. Best of the best.

Navy SEALs and Marine Reconnaissance are the top tier for American Military training. Delta is army and takes people form rangers and is more of a hostage rescue and special mission operation than direct action. Marsoc and SEALs are the real direct action forces for the Navy/marines. The biggest difference between SEALs and Recon is that Recon goes further inland and has less Naval support and does more scouting than direct action.

SEALs train for everything. I'm sure SAS is not capable of swimming 6 miles in the ocean. SAS needs different squadrons for different terrans. But SEALs training in everything.. SAS would def not pass SEALs training, probably mentallity wise but not physically wise.

Lol so sad that veery little people know that marines are a branch of the navy and most navy seals are first marines, so seriously learn some facts, well at least tell those retards too. Marines train more than 8 months too man, 13 weeks basic and about 1-2 yrs for combat school, jump school for recon and even more for pilots and what not.

Seriously learn some facts? I've studied the SEALs and I have a friend who is in the Marines when when I knew him when he was here he was a Marine fanatic. Last I remember you can no longer join the SEALs through Marines as they have their own Spec Ops, MARSOC look it up. Also they only work Coherently they're not a branch off of the Navy, it's the same with Air Force and Army. I've read military books, and I study the military, as I am a military brat and want to join the U.S. Armed Forces

well your right marines cant joint SEALs but your wrong about one thing and thats the usmc is a department of the navy. if you dont believe me im an aviation stuctural mechanic in the navy and im around marines all the time and in fact it says it on their seal "department of the navy, united states marine corps"

I'm a Marine and we are in fact a dept. of the Navy... in fact we in the Marines (mil. in general like acroynms) here's what Marine stands for... My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment haha... but anyway the Marines are a dept. of the Navy although most of our ops are separate except for Docs (Navy Corpsman who travel with us). In our chain of command the Commandant of the Marine Corps is under the Secretary of the Navy.

and your misunderstood too bud navy seals are all navy sailors, marines have force recon and MARSOC (marine special operations command). to join the SEALs from the usmc you would have to finish your enlistment in the usmc then sign up for the usn

No, that's wrong... as a Marine you can go on orders and complete Buds and if they complete the training then they're enlisted as in the Navy SEALs. Side fact, Marines, do have both of those special ops but we're not recognized under SOCOM (Special Operations Command)...

Acculy you have to do army airborn school to join its PJs or CCTs and their SF go to Army ranger school to better themselfs. and they also do joint training with the army to help inprove their security forces and sruff like that. most people dont know that but in the air force you can and some are required to train with other branches.

And your missing my point, Im responding only to the partion when you said the air force doesnt train with others. CCT and PJs and other units MUST train with them as part of their training... look it up... not opinion fact. And any one can sign up for many of the Armys training courses.

And the air force to this day uses army jump school to train its PJs and CCT. This sint a I like the air force or army or marines thing. This is a ask any one thing. I jsut got bakc from training with army MPs and its not up for debater Were PJs and CCT go to jump. If you dont belive me than look it up. Or ask some one who is military.

Well if you truly are who you say you are then more than likely they would take you on, all you have to do is score high enough on the ASVAB, the only deficiency I can see is the getting kicked out of school that'd be the only thing they wouldn't take you on for I believe.

dude. you cant really compare special forces. they all have different missions. Delta is more hostage rescue and direct action working wit the rangers. They do more inland operations. SEALs are direct action but for more discrete operations concerning targets near the water. the only really comparable Spec Ops are Recon and Seals and then you can compare Delta and Berets, and Pararescue is in a league of its own.

Honestly, wiki does not provide much and that fact that I can clearly see where you got your information from. First off, SEALs is not MORE into concerning targets near water, it's somewhat the reason that makes them special and apart from other special forces. But SEALs are overall, SEA, Air, Land. SEALs were the first one to go in Middle East and the first to go into Vietnam and especially last to leave Vietnam. Don't think SEALs are MORE into water. They do everything. Best of the best.

Navy SEALs and Marine Reconnaissance are the top tier for American Military training. Delta is army and takes people form rangers and is more of a hostage rescue and special mission operation than direct action. Marsoc and SEALs are the real direct action forces for the Navy/marines. The biggest difference between SEALs and Recon is that Recon goes further inland and has less Naval support and does more scouting than direct action.
