@makmegs With traffic now travelling on roads with speed limits HALVED from a few years ago (as is the case on many UK roads), and traffic lights everywhere/traffic lights replacing roundabouts/narrowing/chicanes­/lanes blocked & closed etc., then sticking to "rules" means maximum potential progress is not even half the rate it was before.

There is bad driving I agree, due in part to the fact that people are now half-asleep in this "slo-mo replay" form of "travel".

All helps fuel sales.

It's Really good for ppl that go on vacation and dont know the maxx speed in other country's roads and its relaxing when you come from wurk and not have to wurry to hit the paddle to hard. Means more concentration on the road means more safety For yourself and other's - if i would buy this car i would defenetly pay some more to have that options BTW you got the option of turning it On or Off.

If the speedlimiter bugs you, don't switch it on. But if you are a well known speedy driver It could be, another speed-patrol meeting will let you ride on a bike. I live in Germany, the "land oft the free cars", and this happens twice (1 month bike). As I own an elder DB my navsys warns: "Now your at the Flensburg's point-system-level". I wonder, if you could setup for 20km/h plus limit?

CC 200hp or 280hp v6 version is not slow but not fast.Touareg only one that is quick is v10 diesel but still non of these cars need autobahn 65mph limit is over 100kmph in some places here in denver there are 85 mph speed limit 136kmph i think that is plenty fast for regular people and for some one like me that likes to go fast sometimes we do it at 3 AM where there is 0 traffic

Most people drive at about 120 to 160kph. But if there is no speed limit and no nose-to-tail traffic, you don't need to wait for a long time, until someone overtakes you at 200+kph. Savety doesn't require slow driving, but observing bahaviour, broad lanes, save cars and end-to-end crash barriers - that's all. Even if an accident happens, crash barriers avoid serious consequences.

i have 4 cars, 08 cl63"my baby", 07 g55 amg, an exotic, and got my live in girlfriend an 08 e92 M3 and my insurance isnt that high. it doesnt make sense. i mean im a model make about 350,000-450,000 a year and i would never use a v12 on a day to day basis driving 130mile EACH WAY to work. thats crazy talk. and dealers wont accept cash for legal reasons. cashiers check is the closest to cash with a dealer. at least any reputable dealer. hes probably a a space engineer or nasa as well.
