Government bailed out the banks that made bad loans and Government created fannie mae and freddie mac the companies that made giving out bad loans en-masse possible. look up the details of the CRA (community re-investment act.) Government essentially mandated that banks give bad loans. Capitalism didn't cause the economic crisis government regulation did.
