Chickens and all other birds don't have vaginas. However, female birds do have an oviduct, and they can experience a problem called "egg binding" which is sort of like constipation with an egg, and can be dangerous for the hen too. This video though shows a normal egg laying.

No, it doesn't hurt a hen the same way, because hens can lay an egg almost every day, while human mothers these days have two or three babies several years apart and say they can't take it anymore and stop having children! Obviously it's much easier on the hen. Chickens are very sensitive birds and they don't get any more upset than to cackle a bit after laying an egg. And a healthy woman who has many children finds childbirth easier too! Ask any mother of 10! :)
