@Jeepacreepah01 I'm with you dude. After alternative rock died with Billy Corgan's career solid, sweeping music became VERY rare. Everyone wanted to go too far into electronic or thrash metal. It's rare you get a song with good music that allows you to hear the lyrics.

@whylovenick why at the time music videos wer ein their infancy and so it was a new format. the director was proably like," Whats a music video?" and his assitant was like, " We're supposed to be doing a mini musical but to sell only the band and the song." and so the director was like, " Okay, so this song is about how a couple of blokes fell in love with africa. Right, get a black girl, we'll make her a librarian, and so the band is singing about her because she symbolizes africa."

Mike has been one of the *baddest* groove cats of them all. He and Jeff were simply a joy to hear. (I know Hungate's on the track, but listen to "Animal" for true Porcaro Pocket"). Mike's not playing right now-health issues have sidelined him. I miss that sound.
