I've been looking for this for the last 13yrs. 1st heard it when i was 20 back in 1998 and i fell in love with it. Sadly, the radio stations rarely played yet i never got the chance to master its title and artist.

phils sister used to live on the next rd to me in willesden,nw london - me and brother were around 9 and 11 and we used to wash cars,he turned up in his black e-type jag one day.We asked him did he want his car washed he said yeah but only the wire wheels!!! we used to charge £2 but he said he would give us a fiver!!! we thought we had won the lottery!!! he gave us signed records as well. such a sound fella always laughing and joking - a genuine mr nice guy!!! great song too - bring back the 80s

Great song and a good time capsule of mid-1980s Britain. Amazing how different the Britain of 1984 is in this video compared with 2011: independent record shops, Abbey National Building Society and Dewhurst's the Butchers, the Apple ][ and the fashions. Now, Abbey National and Dewhurst's are no more, but Apple are still very much with us.
