I know some people that don't know anything about music.
And about my sex life, belive me, I have thousaands of times more sex than you do... Why do you have to answer me in a provocative way?You could have asked me why i didn't like it before atacking me you little piece of ignorance.
I don´t usually ask someone wich bizarre taste why they are like that, usually they have issues so no good asking that. You got offended to easily, if u want to tell ppl WHY you don´t like the piano sound and explain it, go ahead but if u just want to post a silly bad taste affirmative without justificatves, bear the troll responses. If you have more sex than me or not is no relevant to ur bad taste and has nothing to do with my original point, also i wouldn´t be so sure if i was u!
One more comment on Reason Pianos refill, if you've never heard it and think I'm making up stuff, just type in "Reason Pianos HD" in youtube and hear for yourself.
continued... I'm not saying Akoustik is bad, just saying that it doesn't top Ivory. Akoustik would be used well in a live setting where it has to cut through the mix, but for recordings or backing up a soloist, you'd fare much better with the more realistic Ivory. Another option would be Reason's Piano refill. Those samples are very well done, comparable to Ivory. As a matter of fact, I would put it right below Ivory as for realism.
I just got NI Akoustik Piano because I read all the raves about Ivory, which I also own. I've come to this simple conclusion: Anyone saying that Akoustik is better than Ivory must not have played Ivory before, because it is not better than Ivory. It is easier on the computer, but Ivory even with it's "watered down" samples sound more realistic than Akoustik. I would go as far as to say that Modartt Pianoteq is better than Akoustik.
I don't get it, this sounds painfully fake to my ear, especially once I get to the treble register. It sounds very "plastic-y." I haven't tried it under a song, but I have a feeling it will perform better there..just not solo..

What's the purpose of the back pack? imeen com on really it's not that fucking serious dude. Every bodies a fucking wanna be these days pitiful nigga's need to come wit they own swagg i swear if i see another fake ass kanye west or pharrell Williams i'm bout go insane!
Why are you crying about the guy wearing a backpack? Does it even matter. Maybe he just came into the building, and wtf has it gotta do with wannabes?
Hmm, to me tonal quality of the mid and high range doesn't have much depth and lacks the realism and playability that Art Vista and Ivory have. It sounds too compressed sometimes. It's just not my cup of tea as far as software pianos go.
The original Art Vista that I have was $99, but you can't get that anymore on their website because Art Vista 2.0 came out which is $199. Ivory is $300 + a $40 iLok key.
it's got a cool sound for pop music.. light, kinda jazzy stuff like maroon 5 or gavin degraw. but it definitely lacks the depth for the classical piece he's playing.
you suck man...this software owns Ivory ...the only software which owns NI Akoustik Piano is East West Quantum Leap Pianos...you suck because you have to learn to use a VST in a proper way, cause than you cant change the shit like frequencies wet dry and enough other stuff
For solo playing - Ivory (a lot more depth than Akoustik)
For cutting through the mix/live playing - Akoustik (nice and bright)
If you have a computer that meets the recommendations (NOT bare minimum requirements)- Quantum Leap Pianos...most attention to detail in the sound, multiple mic positions, 100% control over lid, staccato and repetition sample articulations, etc.
I have all 3, and like them all depending on what mood I'm in.
MATE!!! Get a line in so we can enjoy you in stereo?

The piano tone probably doesn't sound that great because you are hearing it through the mic built into the camera.

why not? And have you played it in real life or just heard them in videos?
I have heard some others say they dont like it as well. I have no time to try out myself. Any input would be appreciated.

Awesome player, but Akoustic piano is not a great software piano... I don't know, I just never liked it.

I suck, that's nice. You're real professional. I don't like Akoustic, I like Ivory, that's my preference.

If it was between these 2, I would say:
For solo playing - Ivory (a lot more depth than Akoustik)
For cutting through the mix/live playing - Akoustik (nice and bright)
If you have a computer that meets the recommendations (NOT bare minimum requirements)- Quantum Leap Pianos...most attention to detail in the sound, multiple mic positions, 100% control over lid, staccato and repetition sample articulations, etc.
