  • Wow man you have changed :)

  • great vid!! but whats your FIRST video EVER on youtube?

  • ive been watching you for a very long time Jeff and i decided to go back and watch a lot of your old videos, and man you have lost a lot of weight. you look a lot healthier now and seem happier, good review, keep them coming and have a good day

  • i want this bag

  • Love this bag.. I have the same one in black. My wife calls it my purse, but I call it my EDC kit. Inside I keep my daily essentials: wallet, keys, cell phone, etc. As well as my "tactical gear": Glock 19, EagleTac flashlight, and two folding knives (usually my Sebenza, and CQC-10). Just like Jeff said, this pack is great for any widerness/survival situation, or as a simple EDC kit. Awesome review bro!

  • birds =]

  • Great review jeff. I apreciate your time and examples of what u carry in there to help viewer with size reference.

  • One of the worst "reviews" I've ever seen. For future reference when you review something you might want to think about SHOWING the item. No one cares about all the junk you pack it with, we got here cause we wanted to see the BAG!

Is there someplace I can go to get that 7 minutes back?

  • Now i must have one of my own. Thanks for the review.

  • going to order one of thease right now thx

  • @edgesuxass Don't be an ass.

  • I just got a 5.11 Push Pack for X-mas. My opinion...Go with Maxpeditions Jumbo Versi-Pack.

  • lower the cam. barely see the bag

  • Which song is that in the beggining PLZZZ reply

  • @devinwalker47 nope, sorry smith is one of themmost common last name sin america

  • @devinwalker47 Dude, if you do a whitepages search for William Smith in Pennsylvania, you get well over 100 people. If you do a whitepages search for Jeff Smith in Pennsylvania, you get well over 100 people. It won't even tell you the number of hit after it gets to 100. My CITY alone has HUNDREDS of people with the last name Smith and 25 people with the exact name Jeff Smith. Unfortunately, his name is no less common than John Doe, hah.

  • @devinwalker47 LOL! Half the people in this country have the last name "Smith".

  • jeff you are geting fat and bold

  • you are one of my favorite youtubers. absolutely brilliant. keep up the excellent work. stay safe. God bless

  • unzippers?

  • Go shoot that damn goose.... lol

  • faotboy for the fatoboy

  • Keep the item you are reviewing in frame so we can see what you're talking about.

    Thanks Elvis.

  • Does the Fatboy have a CCW compartment? Will it hold a 32oz nalgene bottle with the things you already carry in it?

    Thank you

  • Does it not have a wastebelt?

  • gangster fanny pack lol

  • Jeff, a big fan of your knife reviews and was pleasantly surprised to come across this review. Needless to say it was top notch and wanted to thank you for taking the time to inform those of us who make our buying decisions based on this info.

  • Hi, does anyone know if the Maxpedition e.d.c pocket organizer will fit in the main pocket of the fatboy versipack? Thanks..

  • You are a helpful resource for gear ed!

  • jeez man! you get pulled over with that some over zealous policeman/or/woman is gonna think your a serial-killer or burglar at least ,knives, clip held rosco[your glock],pry-bar,screwdrivers[greygoose please],pliers no insult intended your character seems sterling, but our government is starting to exude a kafkaesque like oder .nice vid though, don't stop!

  • I hate kneeling in wet grass. XD

    Great video, as always.

  • LOL Velcro brand velcro

  • Has anyone carried an XDM .40 4.5" in one of these? The height of the gun pocket is exactly the same as the overall length of the xdm (8"). I'm wondering if the zipper would fit over it or not....

  • i think that your reviews are the best becuse you teach us as much as posible and it's great

  • what do you edit your videos with

  • like the "professional" look of the review. you should do more like this.

  • Versipacks seem pretty good for EDC, but they're expensive! lol

    =O

great review, Cutlerylover, all your videos are pretty damn good actually

  • Your videos are so awesome because you explain everything with great detail and you have a lot of knowledge about your various collections which is both admirable and very cool. If I lived in your city I would be honored to be your friend. I also wouldn't mind going camping with you because you seem so prepared for anything. Any girl would be lucky to be with you :)

  • I'm glad that I watched this video again. I had been thinking about possibly getting one of these bags, but it finally dawned on me that it doesn't have a place for a water bottle. ;^( Great job as always!!!

  • Very professional review. I think it would be the most informative if you did all your reviews in this setting. You concentrate more on the product itself and less on your thoughts.....

  • you and nutnfancy have the best reviews on youtube

  • @slimjim355 witch one do you like the most nutn ore culerylover i like to watch cutlerylovers video's better.

  • @slimjim355 and you ?

  • @slimjim355 eric clapton knocking on heavans door

  • u r awesome on reviews you explain everything so well!!! good luck on future reviews!!!

  • Very good dude it looked cool outside maybe you should do more reviews outdoors?:)

  • You should try pitching(sales) your products.

I've boungt a few buy alot of the products you reviewed.

  • That intro was Eric Clapton's version for Bob Dylan's "Knocking on Heaven's door"!!

  • Thank you....... Wow, Clapton's got a diverse musical ability. I would have never guessed!!

  • Hey Jeff, I keep going to this vid to listen to the intro music. Reminds me of some old fishing show music, maybe Bill Dance? Real relaxing. Anyways, do you know the title of the song, or where you got it from? Thanks!

  • Sounds like some Eric Clapton to me. Peace.

  • this is a great bag ideal for urban enviroment I have one in black and I carry my basic stuff like cellphone, wallet, firstaid kit, digital camera, flashlight, knife, multitool, keys, coins, gum and a taser c2, and there is room left for more....great bag !!!! nice review JEFF

  • 4:53 "un-zippers" lol

    great review Jeff!

  • hillbilly sex music at beginning

  • That would be Eric Clapton

  • could you put a gun in the side pocket that your multitool is in

  • probably not because it is too narrow for most full sized and subcompact pistols. the trigger guard will probably get in the way.

  • I dig the music, Jeff! Very mood-swinging!!

  • DUDEEEE

i wish i had a place like this near my house!!

  • haha jeff i could tell you werent comfertable in front of the camera as this is an older video but it still rocks anyway.

  • Nice Review...

  • i think you should go for your own tv show!

  • im looking for a small pack for hiking and riding my bike to friends houses, (6 miles) would you think this is to big for biking, would it throw me off balance? if so what would you recommend?

  • I have no experience with this bag, but as a cyclist I know that bags like this, if worn on your back(not your side) are perfect for riding.

  • would that fit me cause im 5 foot

  • I imagine so, because I think it has an adjustable shoulder strap.

  • thanks

  • u made this video on my b-day.

  • Great Video as Usual!

Keep Up the great work (very informative)

  • I feel like I was watching some TV show after a while, great video.

  • you should have your own tv show.

  • Hey another great video CutleryLover! Your videos have helped me a lot . Could you do a video on how to fix side-to-side blade play, especially in a liner lock? (440 osbourne to be specific, haha)

  • you just need to tighten down your pivot screw a bit...

  • ima use this as a metaphor. hahaha

  • lol, I dont own a single item in this bag that you "need to be in shape" to use...?

  • I never plan on being in a survival situation although I do actually practice with my gear many items of which are not shown in tbhis video...I never out myself in a situation wheer I would be lost, but you just never know, I appreciate what our military has doen for us, but its just not for me...

  • Highly recommended review! 5/5 and fav'd! I love my Fatboy, only in khaki...lol! Thanks for this valuable resource!

  • Good video, Jeff!

  • where can i buy that bag?

i am trying to get one but is not easy.

  • going to climb Mt.Everst lol

    good vid 5/5

  • i love the birds in the background and is there a small creek in the back? sounds like it

  • yes its a creek back there, actually that was a still phtot I took, the bird sounds came from another video I took elsewhere, I just used the soudn for the intro...

  • You should work for HSN or QVC

  • what an impressive pack, i wanna have a one immediately. Thanks for posting.

  • i love this review 5/5

  • You have a face? I thought that you only had hands. Good video one of the only ones on youtube.

  • lol!!!

  • am thinking of getting this, but i want one with a shoulder sling and a waist belt sling too, that way i can run with it or climb with it too. but its really expensive in the uk. so i want add a waist sling my self. thanks for the review.

  • Great review video on the Fatboy, five stars. The only thing I'd add is that the pack can be used (in conjunction with the optional Velcro holster, which I recommend) as a concealed weapon carry pack. I carry a Ruger P95 in the rear zipper compartment.

  • thats a pretty cool pouch, i'm thinking about buying one for when i go mountain biking.

  • this is a cool vidio you are a cool guy

  • Can you put it on next time?

  • yeah, sorry...forgot for this vid...

  • nice review. next time please pan down and zoom in more.

  • I know, I dont have a remote or anythgin I ust pretty much set it where I thought I woudl be and filmed...

  • Nice review.

  • Whats that song in the beggining of the vid and at the end

  • Its a version ofm "knocking on heavans door" by eric clapton...

  • Thanks for the nice review, I decided to buy this bag from the US and ship it over to Germany (Even with shipping it's cheaper than buying it in Germany) and it gave me a very good impression of the bag and I'm looking forward to use and test the bag in my holidays in Greece in about 2 weeks.

    Keep reviewing!

  • I love the video description: "Here is my attempt at a more proffetional edited review,"

    Irony at its finest ;)

Either way, you make the best reviews man. You singlehandedly got me into knives out setting up more adventurous hikes with all the new gear I'm looking into buying. Your dedication and effort shows in every video.

Keep up the awesome work and on behalf of the Youtube community, thank you.

  • Thank you very much! Im here to have fun and hopefully get people interested in knives mainly, but other hobbies of mine as well!!!!

  • awsome backyark must be so peacefull. i dont get that much i live in the the suberbs (north jersy close to New York)

  • This was filmed on ym grandfathers property which is now really my dads...My home is all woods as well but many more houses in between...where about in north new Jersey do you live? I lived in West Milford for 12 years...grew up there!

  • ill email u?

  • ok sure, its cutlerylover at hotmail...

  • Jeff, do you carry your versipack strong or weak side? I am thinking it might be better for me to carry weak side because my CCW is on the strong side, but I am curious as to what you've learned from your experience. I've not owned a Versipack, but your review has me thinking seriously about it. I carry a simple bag from Waller and Sons (great range bags), but the Versipack seems to have many advantages.

    So...strong side or weak side?

    Thanks, bro.

  • I carry it strong side I am righty but I do not carry a CCW...so its not an issue for me, if I were to have a handgun in there I woudl probably keep it on my strogn side as well so I dont have to cross over to draw my pistol...

  • Oh, I did not think about putting the CCW in the Fatboy--the for sure I would carry it strongside. I was thinking about an IWB holster--thanks, man, food for thought.

  • Ohh I see, then in that case I woudk carry it on the weak side to keep clearance for my belt sheath...

  • Thanks guys. I think that I will get one.

  • "Shara":

I bike commute to work in an urban environment, and this is a great option. I nary get a second look and I keep pretty much all the gear I need (and I tote a lot) with me. You should be good to go.

  • Yeah, bags like this cna really come in handy not only for the Bicycalist but the Motorcyclist as well for communting...

  • This is a great review. I have been thinking about getting a Maxpedition Fatboy to carry my things in. The only reason I havn't gotten one yet is because I'm worried it may not look right when I carry it around urban environment.

Do you think it may look awkward? Or like a purse?

    PS.

My this is my friends username, her name is Shara obviously. I am not a woman, so this is why I am worried it may not look right to carry urban environment.

    What do you think?

  • Well I think thats the ONLY reason some guys don;t lik these, they think it loks like a purse, but I find not onyl do I not care what peopel think, lol, but if you carry the bag low its fine, looks more like a bag like a college kid might use, the over the shoulder book bag...If you feel its too purse like than they also ofer many different backpack style bags...

  • I love to go camping, and my pack is a form like a backpack, and it is from the outdoor company, then I have a bunch of stuff from the marines and the army that is really awsome! :)

  • Nice, sounds like your ready to go!!!

  • great vid jeff. and what a great looking bag a perfect size for a day pack. maxpedition gear rules lol.

  • hha yeah...

  • don't forget the extradimensional space in between and the various portals to other planes....ah ahah...it'amazing! looks so small, but at the end, i was thinking you make something like " et voilà!" and disappear in it! how many bucks to have it?

  • haha I know what you mean, well price depends on where you buy it from, but the average price online is $50...

  • and by the way NICE REVIEW!!

  • Thanks!

  • towl pills?

  • Yes, I wil make a video on it, its basically a compressed piece of cheese cloth that when it gets when it puffs up so you cna unroll it, prety cool and cheap!

  • I didnt enjoy the rest of my day :( Thanks for the review though.

  • Oh man, sorry to hear that...

  • hehe, that was kind of tongue-in-cheek. My day was ok I guess. But thanks for being concerned !

  • no problem...haha

  • Knocking on heavens door! Nice!

    Regards,

    Julian

  • YUP! you guessed it, I wanted a simple intro that was sort of calm and welcoming, this song was on the radio when I was trying to think of songs... so I just used it, lol...

  • I thought this was a great review, it had the human feel a youtube video has, but it was good enough for a nature show, and the music just completed it. I could swear I was ten again sitting with my uncle watching the fishing shows. Seems like a great bag, if I start camping as much as I used to I might just go buy one of these.

  • Thanks for the very nice comment...I love makign videos for people just showing different gear and knives, and lighters...But I was inspired to make a more proffetional type video like I see from wildernessoutfitters (Dave Canteburry) So he gets some credit for this one, hahaha...

  • hey jeff long time no talk

  • Yeah,sure has!

  • what song is that

  • A version of knocking on heavans door...By Eric Clapton...

  • was that multi tool the wave or the original

  • Wave...I have a video on both if you dont already know...

  • Awesome...nothing but awesome

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • Very nice Jeff. I really enjoyed this one.

    Professionally done!

  • Thank you!

  • did u used to be a boy scout? im a boy scout and ive learned alot from your vids! thanks jeff!

  • Thanks, thats great to hear! Yes, I was a boy scout for a few yars, I made it to 1st class, but I moved and never rejoined, which I regret, I wish I had gone all the way to eagle...

  • You should do more reviews and vids like this jeff.

  • I plan on doing at least one more like this edited...But I am just playign aroudn with it...I normally do not like big intro's, but sometimes its a nice change...

  • great as always.

  • Thank you!

  • nice, you sure carray a lot of knifes on you, good video like always 5star

  • Thanks!

  • Thabks buddy.

  • no problem!

  • Het CL would you mind doin a gear review on you first aids kits?? thanks...

  • I will be able to make a video once I get a better kit together, for now all I have really is a variety of bandaids as well as some burn cream and oitment...Not an in depth kit, lol...But I will certainly make a video once I get a better one together...the case I use is a case meant to tranport and store memory cards, I like ti becasue of the small mesh pockets inside to seperate the stuff...

  • hmmmm... reminds me of something.... *cough*wildernessoutfitters*cough*

    just kidding - Great vid.

Jeff Smith I bet its easy to find your number in the phonebook - Just above John Smith

  • haha, I admit I was defimatlky inspired by Daves videos, I hope he considers this a compliment, and not something else...And atcually its hard to find my name since there are so many smiths, lol...Infact in my same comminity there are 6 smith family's and even one realitor names Jeff Smith, lol...

  • Nice video!!!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Your gear reviews are great. Lots of info for anyone looking to buy. Keep it up.

  • Thanks for the nice comment!

  • cool bag nice

  • Thanks!

  • Is this set up for urban??

  • As is in this video its is sort of half and half, but a bit more "survival" than urabn in this demo...I have mixed items to just show the variety...obviously I don't need a fixed blade and a fire piston in an urban enviroment, but I woudl not need half the tools I have like the wrenches for a survival situation either...So its a mixed bag so to speak, lol...

  • i like the cutlery lover back round thing nice vid

  • haha, thanks man!

  • there great ive just got the sabercat and admin pouch

  • Nice, I saw both of those reviews deon by Dave, they both look really nice!

  • Very good vid

    Do More!
