i drank a lot of that. You could get it as late as 1989. It was very sweet. More like a mix of 7 up/ ginger ale and coke. no cinnamon as I would not have drank it either. a little like the italian drink Chinotto but not bitter.

I remember this commercial & how I always wanted to try 7Up Gold but never got to. I remember someone told me it tasted like cola mixed with 7Up, but I since found out that it tasted like cinnamon, which I can't stand. It's a cool commercial though.

Has anyone been to a mall and you see those people with clipboards who ask you to watch a video, try a new product and comment on it? Well back in 1987 I was at Plaza Bonita in San Diego, Ca I was asked to try 7UP Gold before it was on the market and was paid $20.00 just to try a shot of 7UP Gold. That was 30 minutes of my life well spent.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually liked this soda. I can't remember exactly what it tasted like, but I remember liking it. Very unusual taste for a soda, to say the least.

It was cinnamon flavored. Yum. The guy in the ad spraying himself with soda was my college housemate. And that's pretty much the way he was!

Yep, kind of a cinnamon flavor. There was a Pepsi Holiday Spice a couple of years ago that came fairly close to the taste of 7up Gold, but of course that got pulled from the shelves as well.
