  • just to let you know

blqwarrior, like someone said before... this wasnt the only part. and how come you say that UNFORTUNATELY THE DANCING PART WAS THE ONLY ONE POSTED..and yet you are writting on the one that is NOT the dancing vid. yeah we had a little fun, and we danced and all, but this WASNT the only thing we played, if you see on the side there is a vid with the whole halftime show... so why dont you look at that.. get all your facts straight.. then say something ... ok???

  • yall normally dance like that in your field shows?

  • hahaha When they came and played at OSU, the tuba player's bell fell off he was dancing so much!

  • im a tuba player i was next to him when that happened...i couldnt stop laughing!1!!!!!! XD!!!!!!!!

  • My high school plays this song too :)

Except there's a drum break about halfway into the song and we do a big dance to it.

  • we have that too...the tubas play by themselves and we all do a dance routine. That was not even halfway through the song lol

  • Oh lol

  • This is coming form someone who actually marched in a HBCU band...This was a GREAT JOB and GREAT Perfomance! Keep it up UofH...some of the responses that you get (

blqwarrior)are from people who probably never marched for ANY band outside of high school. Keep having fun..

  • To inform you, I've marched in a collegiate band for four years, voted as the outstanding bandsman in my band, and served as president of the band fraternity. I know how to recognize band talent. My comment was for UofH to do what they do, whatever that is. Clearly what they did in this performance was not typical if the announcer had to qualify what they learned and who they learned it from. It's amazing how offended people get when the truth is told!! My comment wasn't about hate,

  • Not only are you talking from your ass, you don't even have your facts straight. That wasn't our WHOLE show. Like it clearly states in the title, "DANCING PART". That was only a portion of the show. You OBVIOUSLY don't know talent if you think it means not being diverse, DIFFERENT, and thinking outside the box.You can run your mouth about being President of whatever the hell, but sadly, that neither makes you talented nor gives you the ability to recognize talent. So you can suck it twice:)

  • Since i've been in the band here at UH, we've done all kinds of shows. This season alone we did the exact show that Bill Moffit designed for the Spirit of Houston to perform at the 1979 cotton bowl and also shows like this. Last year we had a show with Rob G as well as another patterns in motion show. We do shows to entertain and get our crowds fired up. I mean, we ARE the SPIRIT OF HOUSTON. Our ultimate goal is to get everyone as excited about cougar nation as we are!

  • Awesome

  • Good job...each band has their own style..DO WHAT EVER YOU LIKE

  • yea blqwarrior go suck a damn dick and shove it up your ass. Im just a freshmen in the band and i know UH Marching band hasnt changed, we did this to entertain our audience not to show up Southern. Southern has a different style of marching. All cuz we decided to put our horns down and dance make us like Southern now? Yea right. Im glad im in SoH. FUCK ALL THEM HATERS AND KEEP HATING cuz we the shit and your not =]

  • I don't believe I said you were trying to be like Southern. The dance performance was clearly not a good one, and unfortunately that's the only part of the show posted. What kind of drills and music were being played? Who cares about a dance routine, but that's all people want to focus on. Try focusing on band first!! Southern's band displayed that.

  • blqwarrior can suck it! :) we were badass last night! GO COOGS!!!

    thats is all:)

  • Bitter people!

  • WTF? Just stick to what you do, whatever that is! Don't change because the "Jukebox" is across the field.

  • get over yourself, it's all in good fun.

  • They didn't make it good.

  • We have not changed anything. The SoH Cougar Marching Band has the ability and talent to do whatever they feel like. It takes from talents that have performed in all sorts of styles and does it all. Both the City and University of Houston are highly diverse, and we are going to exploit that, for the entertainment of the crowd.

Performing this makes me glad I joined back up with the SoH.

  • No full dance? :(
