anything over 145 looses rhythm to me or becomes mechanical most oldskool was 120 to 128 jungle teckno /darkcore although it sounded fast was mostly 128 to 40 happy hardcore and big bounce 150 to 200 i perfer big bounce/drum & bass at this pace cos at 180 the rythem on low scale would run at like 90bpm which is to slow and at 180 is just noise could try a 3rd but would be displaced but yeah they should slow it down unless there hiding uncleared samples heh
