So, what is you expertise that enables you to tell or put onto YouTube your malicious and deluded comments. I am telling you I am proud of our Philadelphia police officers, not one person was harmed in this event, they did an outstanding job... How about you, what part did you have in risking your life and saving those of others that day?
You are a very uneducated, inexperienced "NOBODY" Let me see, you are on the sidelines, hiding behind your low quality equipment,... you not a Philadelphia Marine Police Officer nor a dragon boat racer, or better yet the person(s) in the water, hum...
Making the comments about the Police Boat Capt. Not taking control of the chaotic situaton. Let me ask you how are you going to control 40 panicking people climbing up your boat. The people was afraid for their lives. Yell at everyone tell one at the time. Like they going to obey. There is a no win situation. The cops putting their lives on the line don't need your insensitive comments. But say thank you Officers.
MrBobd-Thanks for your help with my commentary. Bottom-line, you're correct that the race organizers didn't run a good event. At the same time, the captain needed to take charge of the situation and handle it before 40 people climbed on board. That's part of his responsibility, period.
@seve64inpa1 How do you expect him to take charge. He can't punch or push someone off the side that would be seen as police brutality. So since you seem to know what to do, what would you have done? Keep in mind that you can't turn on your engines and people are panicking too much that they are ignoring your orders.
Dude, your inane commentary about the incompetance of the Phila. Police Marine Unit were not needed. First off, the Captain did not allow 40 people onto the boat, they were all scared and climbed onto the boat. If the Captain had turned on the engine, the props would have cut off some limbs. What was he supposed to do? Push them off?
The problem came when the organizers allowed inexperienced racers in the race.
If you have a legitimate beef, air it, if not, don't make stupid comments.
You owe an apology to our "Men in Blue" !! To put it in your words "That's part of your responsibility, period."
