@angelite143 Lol you know you have good speakers when your main speakers are larger than your sub, my set cost me about ~$1400 including the amp...haha
I posted this on another video. Please, I want a 2.1 system with great bass and no distortion possibly under $250 (max $300), I was thinking Beats by Dre Beatbox, but I am sure there would be a 2.1 system better. Please reply, Thanks.
Can anyone tell me why it says everywhere that this is 232 watt with 56watt satellite included within that when on the box here and everybox i have seen says 220 and on the back says 50 watt satellite, both values claim to be the ftc rating? i am confused, am i missing something? Pls let me know if you do. Thanks.
I upgraded from 3.5mm -> RCA stereo set-up in 2003. Only optical, coax, or HDMI digital audio for me. I can't believe they want over $200 for that and don't offer any digital inputs. The satellites themselves need their own amps and power source. Then they'd be true 'monitor' speakers. This kit should be $49. And offer MIR...
@zer0l0w in case u didnt find the answer yet, auzentech uses creative drivers while asus uses different drivers so i would assume that asus drivers are better based on what i've heard
@EWColaCanada it will sound fine, but i would reccomend at least a $50 dollar chip, like a creative xi-fi or something. then it will let these speakers shine. using onboard sound, u should get a cheaper setup
i would love to have a speaker system like this but be able to use my headphones for sound and then still have the bass from the sub. if they made somthing like that i would pay the money for it. cuz i would like to have both options, like when i play online games i use headphones so people dont have to hear the music in the backround but i would still like to have bass. so untill they make somthing like that i wont ever buy and expensive speaker set up for my computer.
@Dandude340 What? That's super easy! I already do that. Use a splitter. I have 5.1 headphones, the "sub" cable from the headphones plug into one female port on the splitter and my floor subs plug into the other female port and then you plug the splitter's male end into the motherboard/sound card. That way you can feel and hear the bass. I have 2 1000 watt car subs for my computer which runs off a 2000 watt car amp powered by a computer power supply which has three 12v 30amp rails.
@iMasterFreez Quality over quantity mate. Yes 700W is thumping but what this is going for is clean sound. My current system is only 600w but cost $1K.
Just going to throw this out there, but when I game I prefer to use a 5.1 speaker setup. It's a whole lot easier to determine where something is when you have 4 speakers producing a different position.
I paid $90 AUD for my Logitech 5.1, and they work perfectly fine and are loud enough to make the neighbours tell me to shut up.
I have Corsair RAM and the H50 cooler and they are superb and well built and had no problems as of yet with Corsair, I must say Corsair is now like mercedes or ferrari in the car world to us PC builders :)
if they are going for accurate bass why would they use a ported box. The response of the woofer is all in the box. They should have gone with a sealed box. Also with movies and games they use very low sounds, lower than 30hz, so the box needs to be tuned very low or the subwoofer will unload and can be damaged at higher volumes
I actually am a music producer and am doing the score for an indy game and i can say with confidence that these may be good for a listener but NOT for a producer. We need highly precise frequency response and with those small speakers it's just not quite up to par. Also we generally don't produce with a sub woofer on because it can exaggerate the bass in the mix if it's not tuned to the system correctly. So I would say great system for the gamer but not for the producer =)
@RedRavenRuler No, you can't, have you even listened to these speakrs? Being an audiophile and producer myself it's really possible these can be exceptionally top notch, next time try before you say anything. =)
the marketing director is like talking of a bible. everything has the same answer... that stupid woofer question was answer twice in the exact same manner. == marketing ppl are super boring when they only know how to use the same point over and over again and don't know anything else
I have a question........ Why is it when Linus interviews a guest he always looks like he cant keep a straight face. Like hes about to break up laughing or like he secretly has some kind of joke about the guy that was told before the dude came on. Dude get your game face on and stop fiddle farting around its annoying.
Verdict.. a PASS. Better buys for similar price points from well established proven speaker players. Logitech, Klipsch, and as was already pointed out, NO gamer worth their salt uses speakers anyway
Thats bullshit dude. It is true that for intense FPS games nothing beats a headset, but sometimes you just don't wan't to wear it and its good that you are getting the same sound or close to the same sound either way. BTW: Why are aesthetics a D-? Because it's got a big sub woofer? Did you ever think that the hardware inside requires a big housing? The satellites are designed to match their 600T case and look good in my opinion.
I don't think that Corsair will win in the Audiophile market. In the mainstream market, probably yes, but in the more niche market of audiophiles, they will have to go stiff competition such as Audioengine, Swan and much others. I have a pair of Audioengine A2 2.0 speakers and not only they sound amazing and clear for their size, they also are very portable. Although it doesn't have a sub, the bass is tight, crisp, clean and clear but not overpowering.
wait so your saying these are monitors? sorry bud, i've heard genelecs before, and i doubt these will compare. they could, but i don't think they will. especially in that price range. and if they were monitors, they wouldn't be applicable for games.
@vogter2605 You're likely to use good quality headphones for gaming over speakers. 2.1 system sounds FANTASTIC (imo) for just general game playing where knowing where the enemy is coming from is not a huge deal.
Most pictures I've seen people put all five monitors on their desk where 5.1 is going to sound best when you put the rear speakers.. behind you not on the side of the front speakers.
I like to watch all of the videos on Linus' two channels, but those with a guest speaker have been uninteresting. That is neither a knock to Linus or his guests, though. Honestly, I got enough info in his unboxing of this product to make an educated decision about them, and a lot of what is said in this video was already mentioned by Linus.
i have my main pc hooked up to my 7.2 channel amp, wich consists of 2x 12inch active subs,4 tower speakers,1x center speaker and 2x surround speakers. this corsair system does probably sound great but for me its not enough power.
wow, that was a great 15min advertisement for these speakers.
I love how the questions were all lead ins to what basically sounded like a bad infomercial. There must be a lot of markup on there (or it could be corsair is just really into advertising now)
I have to say I am disappointed that this is what the channels turning into.
@Haksu77 All I'm saying is everyone's knocking them here yet most of these people have never HEARD them in real life. WTF is the point of that? They could be the best sounding PC speakers ever made and these people would still be ripping on them because of the price.
@jblackrupert Has Corsair ever put out anything that wasn't stellar? Everything they put their name on has been great product. You've never heard these speakers in real life so how can you say they're a ripoff? I'm willing to bet these rape %99 of "PC speakers" out there. If they don't... it would be surprising and a big mistake for Corsair.
i kinda like how the guy is making a 10 min sales pitch for the corsair audio products and calling them the new reference. when they got a total of 4 audio products. as opposed to a company like creative who have been designing audio equipment for years. i got a old pair of cheap 30$ creative 2.1 speakers and for some purposes they even sound better that my 450$ 5.1 system.
i don't believe that guy until i try it myself. his answers is too much. bla bla bla bla bla....
@manhunt48 the fact that you bring anything related to "Sex" to the internet means you probably aren't getting any putang. Linus I'm happy you have Corsair rep's on your channel great company.
I'm an audio engineer and found this very funny, you forget how nerdy you are about sound kit until you try to explain to someone whos not a pro! Glad Corsair is stepping into the market but I won't be buying them as I have some ADAM S3X's xD
Have the Logitech Z-5500 so dont need this but it is nice to see that corsair is stepping into the market. They do work in everything they do so why not join in on this lacking market.
I highly doubt that guy uses his speakers for music. I mean I'm sure they're great but whos he fooling lol? he he's a bloody audiophile I'm sure he has some kickass headphones wich pown his sp2500. Still nice to finally see "gaming grade" get another name in the audio world than POS. I mean I couldn't get a gaming headset because they all suck(exept the sennheisers, but they're fugly).
Sorry Linus :fdwn: . The AMD video was good however this is too much. I understand this may have not been entirely in your hands but I strongly disagree with the direction that has been taken here. Personally, I am not all that interested in watching commercials.

stoped watching after 6:48 cuz all i wana know is the sub size. its most likely like a 5 inch lol with a huge box or a 8 inch.
z5500's FTW
staticxmako 1 year ago
@staticxmako Dude, I hear the bigger the sub the better d00d, you got 15's in that motha?! WHAAAT it must sound so AWESOME.
A larger sub does NOT equal better bass, it makes more boom.
The Logitech system is mediocre at BEST.

@GayForJC There is a 100% resonable explanation for that. I am from Sweden and I strive for making it un-noticeable.

Have the Logitech Z-5500 so dont need this but it is nice to see that corsair is stepping into the market. They do work in everything they do so why not join in on this lacking market.

Is the Corsair SP2500 engineered in-house in the Corsair facilities or is it just a rebranded product?
Alembic 1 year ago

LOOOL: and frankly we beat them(cocky, but no doubt true)
Malius1000 1 year ago
I highly doubt that guy uses his speakers for music. I mean I'm sure they're great but whos he fooling lol? he he's a bloody audiophile I'm sure he has some kickass headphones wich pown his sp2500. Still nice to finally see "gaming grade" get another name in the audio world than POS. I mean I couldn't get a gaming headset because they all suck(exept the sennheisers, but they're fugly).
Malius1000 1 year ago
@Malius1000 Headphones? I'm sure he has a decent pair of speakers! If your looking for some headphones get some beyerdynamic DT250s!
dielbe 1 year ago
@dielbe I don't want to boast but my sennheiser hd 650s are a good deal better than those dt250s ;)

Sorry Linus :fdwn: . The AMD video was good however this is too much. I understand this may have not been entirely in your hands but I strongly disagree with the direction that has been taken here. Personally, I am not all that interested in watching commercials.
