  • Your interpretation is totally awesome and unique!

  • Loving the tempo.

  • I know guitar players have really taken to playing near this tempo. I propose that we also band together and start calling the song "Blue Samba."

  • Slow the hell down!

  • @14kosh shut the hell up!

  • Muito bom!

  • Very good!

  • Such Beautiful Tone!

  • too fast, in my opinion. however, great work, congrats.

  • Which guitar is this?

  • @strwy2hvn94 Epiphone Emperor Joe Pass II

  • @jazzman3071 I think it is Ibanez AF75. I could be wrong tho. I have an AG75 that looks very similar to that but it's a tad smaller.

  • hey what guitar is this??

  • @SonsofGod

okay, you are right, several millennia ago jews prayed to the moon

  • @georgica303 haha.. Hail high the moon!

  • ooops, talking about John Lennon, he himself and btw all the other members, openly told the world that they all were fanatic worshippers and of ... not the sun which is Christianity, the sun and moon which is Judaism, or only the moon which is Islam, but of Venus (= Stella Maris the Morning Star that makes a perfect pentatonic star in the sky each eight years) as proposed by Alister Crowley, founder of OTO and WICCA. And remember, it's only rock 'n roll....

  • @SonsOfGod

uhm...Jews don't pray to the sun and the moon, I'll tell you that much.

  • @georgica303 Jews had a moon calendar, then Jericho (the moon temple) was destroyed and they started worshipping the sun rise in geminis (Adam&Eve), an age later (roughly 2150 years) the sun rising in taurus (the golden bull) and an age later Tutmoses ("Moses") smashed the bull when the sun rose in Aries, so he replaces it with the ram horn. An age later, Cesarion, sun(=son) of Ceasar and Cleopatra, known as "Jesus" embraces the sun in Piscis, which the Jews REJECT and retake the moon calendar.

  • @SonsOfGod Are you talking about calendars here?

  • OK I understand, let's forget religion. I came here because I was looking for a real chilly, smooth, slow.. version of blue bossa because I heard Ana Caram sing this song in portuguese and I thought I would find a similar sweet instrumental version but all I find is musicians who want to show off skills but none has the loving feeling of the Ana Caram version. Do you know a guitar version that sounds like Ana? thanx in advance

  • @SonsOfGod i dont think you understand, the beatles were clearly not trying to destroy christianity, you're probably thinking well john lennon said that the beatles were bigger than jesus, youre misunderstanding that, he was saying that the popular culture is beginning to forget about religion, it wasn't meant to be an arrogant statement

  • you got to be kidding, right?

  • What kind of guitar do you use?

  • When i hear this I ask myself honestly why were the Beatles so famous for when they were such horrible musicians?

  • That's probably because they were in another line of business. Music is not and never will be a competitive match. You just can't compare fiddling around with scales (as good as it may be) to writing pop songs. Therefore I think it's quiet an ignorant remark.

  • @Abschleppen yeah, i gues syou're right.. Beatles were into deliberate and satanic indoctrination of the juvenile part of humanity in order to distroy Christianty and shape youngster's mind into luciferian worship, nothing to do with beauty of music. thanx for bringing that up

  • @SonsOfGod If that is you're considered opinion, then you should forget about music and carry on ranting elsewhere. Why do all you miserable Christians have to come on YT and turn everything into a pretext for bible bashing? The day you can play the guitar 1/10 as well as George Harrison or compose a song anywhere near as good as Lennon/McCartney's simplest efforts you'll have enough money to build your own church. Just don't be surpised if nobody can be arsed to come & listen to your sermons..

  • @twangbarfly I hate churches, one would be ignorant to think a church has anything to do with God. If there is one place in the world where nothing is holy, it is in the churches. Specially not in the catholic church (Vatican). And even if we read any of the sacred books, I think the only truth written is that the world including nature and humans, was created by some creative force, not by äccident¨or struggle of the fittest like some racist Charles Darwin would suggest. Btw the Beatles suck.

  • @SonsOfGod My dislike of churches is matched only by my intense distrust of those who claim to enjoy a privileged contact with the "creator" - you merely assert your own personal beliefs and conveniently see the "creator" as siding with you. How arrogant! Your notions about God and evolution are every bit as subjective as your views about the Beatles, and, while you are entitled to them, your opinions do not interest me in the slightest, especially as you are attempting to hijack this thread.

  • @twangbarfly I totally agree, it is precisely the arrogant claim that the Pope in Rome is the voice of Saint Peter... there is nothing more arrogant. I think nobody can know what that word really means, but since there has not been found one single fossile between ape and men. I mean we found millions of fossils of any animal and they are always exactly the same, no matter what age... so nature did conveniently "delete" those bones? I think ape and men share one thing though: same designer. (-:

  • @SonsOfGod Look - like most people, I came here to listen to a very talented guitarist, not to listen to your worthless and misplaced rants on theology, evolution and the Beatles as a satanic force. I have no intention whatsoever in conversing with you about anything other than this music (and even then....), in which you do not appear to have the slightest interest. Goodbye.

  • Wow great playing man thanks for posting

  • are you not using a pick?

  • @djbot Watch hir fingers, he is using one

  • Molto bravo!!!

    Roberto.

  • flawless and clean, lovely to listen to

  • You play very well!! it's awesome!

Please check out my piano cover on my channel!

    Jack

  • serh gut !! mein freund...........

  • @thecurrykings Actually Parisienne Walkways is a rip-off of this. Blue Bossa is an old jazz standard.

  • damn good

  • which retards have knocked this, man its upsetting to see such good music get negative ratings. Great solo

  • Best solo I've heard

  • Nice! I have a live Johnny Smith version of this that he performed out in Colorado many years ago and that , to me, is the high water mark for performing this great tune. This performanace is much like a Pat Martino version which is terrific!

    Nicely done.

  • Very nice.

  • Dude, I like that a lot. Nice lines, nice phrasing, nice tone - what make is the guitar anyway?

  • smooth...

  • I like it, but the solo lacks any form or structure

  • very very good ! congratulations !

  • puta madre qué bien toca

  • This piece took me on a journey!

  • Hey check out my cover of Blue Bossa

I've been playing guitar for 2 years

and I was wondering if I could get some advice

  • super

  • super

  • complimnti!

    congratulations!

  • very nice..

  • Good Job Mayne!

  • @thecurrykings This was written before that.

  • This is awesome!

I was wondering where you found the accompaniment? Did you record it on a bass yourself or...hmm? =) Keep up the great sound!

  • @Jalo111111111

there is no bass here :)

  • w00t this sound is just awesome...:-)

in Dutch we call it a Geil Geluid....

I LOVE IT, Same as youre guitar peformence

  • your not good... YOUR AWESOME!!!

  • What strings do you use in this? Do you use any pedal effect?

Please, I love this sound *_*

  • Nicely played...the tone is just right for these types of latin songs.

  • nice

but im searchin for phrases ;)

  • @mutilator90 what are phrases

  • Cool :)

  • Beautiful tone!

Beautiful everything, really, but I'm just loving that sweet tone...

  • Super!

  • fenómeno

  • it's Eb minor

  • Eb minor ? I thought it was C minor. I guess it depends of the version. The one I play is in C minor for sure.

  • @cyrrusdavirus2 Eb MAJOR = C Minor

  • @MartinBuitenweg not exactly! the intro lick is C minor ,but than the key changes to Eb major, and he solos in different positions!

  • @xarisMetallicA wtf are you saying? the blue bossa chord changes start out in C minor and then go to Db major, starting on the Ebm7, which is the beginning chord of a IIm7-V7-Imaj7 progression in Db major. after that it gets to Cminor again with a II-V in that tonality...

  • very good¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ exelen

  • Cool! Love it.

  • excellent and clean! you remind me of Robert Conti...your licks I mean.

  • maybe it is... ii V I into dmaj7, makes sense.

I just like soloing in Eb min in that section :D

  • @martygtar yeah for basics its c minor and then Db major, but you could use Eb major, d locrian, g mixolydian, theres a lot of different options the trick is going through all of them seamlessly

  • It actually modulates to Eb minor :)

  • are you a trumpet player

  • i am :D

  • clean as hell

    nice

  • Hi. Sorry to contradict but this is C minor, the key it was originally written in. Not an easy key for guitar. This is wonderful playing over a great chord sequence. Thanks for posting

  • just beautiful.....that was great!!!! Thanks!!!!

  • what key is this played in

  • If your a sax player im pretty sure its Eb concert... I play this on alto sax and love it!

  • 1:08

  • 1:08 - 1:10

    favorite

  • really wonderfull man¡¡¡¡

  • AMAZING

  • Very good

    *-*

  • how wud this sound acouostic?

  • AMAZING!!!!!

  • beautiful :D

  • How is the bass player? On tape or?

  • hi, I have practiced this tune now for three weeks, having a lesson tonight. Your playing is so nice, the tempo and the fluency.

  • awesome sound... like it realy much! just started to play this song yesterday.. tricky :)

  • is that an epi? i mean an ES?

  • what guitar this is ?

  • looks like some type of les paul :)

  • It appears to be a copy of a Gibson ES 175.

The real Gibson ES 175 had double parallelogram inlays, where as this one has the squares.

Even Epiphone ES 175s still tote the double parallelogram inlay, so this is most likely not an Epiphone, unless it isn't an 175 at all.

  • Muito Bom !!!!!!!!

  • this is actually very jazzy !! maybe im wrong but its nothing like ur classic blues .. it sounds like swingers jazz that they would play in fancy resturants

  • Loved it.

Inspiring to try some of this stuff, although it's out of my league - very likely.

    Thanks

  • Hey man, you inspired me to try it myself. I love the ideas you have.

  • awesome, now just stick me in an 1964 aston martin in southern spain, and put a hot latina next to me in the middle of summer...

  • Best comment ever!

  • @akkillees that is an great image!

  • @akkillees that is a* great image!

  • @akkillees this music hasn't got shit to do with spain

  • @SGCmyASS umm did i say it had anything to do with spain? no i didnt, it was a hypothetical illustration because thats the feeling the music gives me, but of course you probably already knew that huh

  • @akkillees mmmm, bossa comes from Brasil, not Spain. ;)

  • @flyofdamosquito well i'm a fan =]

  • @akkillees hahahah! great!

  • which scales or mode are you using?

  • excellent performance of a classic song. props! i love this melody so much.

  • Awesome job man. Total props for those skills.

  • you gotta put some tabs or some sort of video lesson on some of the licks. I love this video so much! excellent playing!

  • Comment removed

  • dude..it can be played on any part..

  • Comment removed

  • Nice improv and style. I liked the fact that you played in the perfect range for this tune. Not too low, Not too high. Very nice, and beautiful sound.

  • Great music .. excellent playing ... bravooooo!!! I just think MUSIC is for people who would like to enjoy ... so if you could not appreciate it just don't stay. Once again just keep playing with your heart.

  • Very very good solo!!

    Excellent!!!!

  • i suck! i really do! I suck. but you are cool x

  • How does he suck?

  • You think I was being serious? Come on now. Apparently a couple of others we're equally as credulous.

  • You must have a weird concept of irony/sarcasm, if you were joking ... "You kinda suck dude" sounds pretty hostile for most of us ;-)

  • easy easy

  • Thats some dark sense of humour, "you kinda suck" isn't usually something someone uses as a joke.

  • Preach brotha preach, my life is changed. my whole view on HUMOR is changed now, lordy lordy god all mighty, now i'm going to ask my mom if she is one of the 9 out of 10 people that enjoy gang rape and go get some hookers and smoked CRACK.

  • I've heard darker...

  • Touché kind sir, touché.

  • lol "humour isn't a word"

    now thats a good joke

  • Touché?

  • Yup.

  • Sarcasm doesn't work if nobody can hear your voice

  • Wow! your playing is amazing and your sound is awsome! could you tell me which gear you use?

  • Simply love it!

  • great sound!

  • Beautiful phrasing and note choices. What a great tune for blowing.

Guys, to boil it down to it's essence, this tune is in C minor and Db major. Practice those two scales and learn how to switch from one to the other and you will be on your way.

  • What make is your axe? My mate is just deciding on which make to get and we are both actively pursuing it.
