  • Great job on your Gretsch 5122! I own a 5120 and what I did was to upgrade it with TV Jones classic pickups, instead of the Gretsch humbucking pickups. If you can afford to do that purchase the pickups from TV Jones website and have a luthier do the work for you. Or if your experienced enough you could do it yourself. There's a video here on YouTube about replacing the pickups by Thomas Jones the master luthier himself. I highly recommend it!

  • @CluvVenny Hi......Thank you for your comment and recomendation. I´ve been visit the video about replacing pickups of 5122 by TV Jones pickups, it is very cool, but I don´t know about the price.... Good luck with your 5120.....

  • could you please stop starring at me, its freaky.

  • It's me again. That was beautiful. Please loan me your talent. I've got the equipment, I just need your talent. I know, practice, practice, practice. Again nice job, and please keep posting.

  • @plumb2013 . Hi.......thank you very much for your comment......You are right, practice and attention to the music. ........Good luck !!

  • Amazing Playing! Great choice in music. I LOVE Bossa Nova. Gretschs are also my favorite guitars (It seems that we have much in common!). Do you have the chords to this song and "Wave" and "Samba do Avião"? If you do have them, could you please send them to me (I will give you my email if you can share the chords with me). Obrigado muito.

  • nice playing

  • @PeterSteves ...Hi , thank you very much for your comment, and to watch my youtube channel.

  • Olá.. ótimo músico, parabéns.. sua guitarra é made in korea?

  • how did you make this fat and warm sound?

  • @AmitBuium ...Hi....Thank you for your nice question. I have been conected my Gretsch guitar and the loop station output in the audio mixer, and the output in the video camera. The sound become more clear instead to use microfones.....

  • Those're some serious serial killer eyes, dude.

  • @jondawg123 .

Oh, and your English is great! ;) I live about 8 and a half hours from Sao Paulo!

Have a nice trip, and enjoy it.

  • I'm working on a trade between my Parker p-44 and on of these babies. I play guitar in the school jazz band and I've been looking for something that could pull of some smooth jazz...... Looks like if found it!

  • @darkduelist67 ...Hi !! Thank you for your comment...and to watch me. I like very much of "Bossa Nova" rhythm, it seems like jazz. I´m happy that you enjoy it and I hope that your play it in your school jazz band .....good luck

  • stop staring into the camera!!!

  • @The321shutdown ....Hi, I´m so sorry !!........You are right ......next time I will take care !!

  • @professorspbr thx :P

  • This guitar does sound excellent clean, and you showed that well. Good job!

  • Hi , thank you for your comment, I think that this is the nice way to show and listen the sound of guitar. It is better than use effects or noise distortion.....Thanks

  • Hello from NW Tennessee USA!

I am glad you have taken the time to post videos of your Gretsch 5122 DC played clean. I play rhythm guitar at my church and I wanted to hear how this guitar sounded clean with no effects at all. I really like the looks and the sound of that guitar and I'm now planning on buying one myself as soon as I can.

If that guitar sounds that good through a Vox Pathfinder, I can hardly wait to hear how it sounds through my Fender SuperchampXD with reverb!

    Thanks!

  • Hi, thank you for your comment . I think that you will like to play the Gretsch G5122 DC specially in your church. This guitar is very light , beautiful design and great sound.....I would like to hear the sound in your Fender SuperchampXD......it´s amazing. ....
