  • awesome =)

  • I wont be as picky as pappelsucher but besides small mistakes and notes left out (which is completely normal) it is greatly played, there is a strong feeling into it and I just hope that when I'm finished learning it I will play it as well as you!

  • Bar 1-4: left hand is not ff. Bar 6-7: sec time right hand is only 1/8! bar 12: too much pedal. Bar 18-19: only respons in p. Bar 22: sec time is arpeggio. Bar 33, 3and4 with accent. Bar 41, 2and3 no right hand to hear. 45-48: right hand like left hand, too much pedal. Bar 55 is respons from 54. Only f in firt time, rest is p. 62-64 respons to 58-61. 45-48 = like 70-72. 79: right hand is only 1/8. 94-96: it's calando, play like portato. 99-100 = like 18-19, play p. 117,1: right hand is 1/16.

  • ur so greattttttttttttttttttt !

  • OMG

  • It's not easy, is it? ;)

  • @OrangeSodaKing nope! this is one of Mozart's most difficult, if not the most difficult, sonatas. Especially the third movement!

  • Which edition did you play from?

  • @colourfulwithaU

It was a Public Domain score off the internet. I do not remember which website exactly, but I think they're all similar enough. I learned the third movement from Presser's Edition because some notes were inaccurate online.

  • I really want to play this but my printer is not working so i am forced to play with my laptop on my lap :(

  • arhhhhhhhhhh i cant do the part at 1:13 well

  • @Y3n26

Practice the right hand in phrases (in this case, the four notes descending makes a phrase).

    Hope to be helpful :)

  • The trills are killing me. :(

  • @weldon29

Make sure you're doing them all with the right fingers...and don't turn too many times if you don't need to. Good luck. : )

  • hey um... I'm on 8th grade in two years .....and my teacher gave me this song to play...... i just started it... and how you play make me complain to my mum! lol reallly great playing! hope i'll be like you soon so i can get a good score for my exam next yr! lol thx

  • you made me dream ;)

  • Wonderful. I really enjoyed listening to that. Nice expression and good job on the trills. I hope to hear you play the other two movements some day.

  • Heh, I know this piece in its entirety. Let me just say one thing. Although this is a bit old, I'll say that sometimes things feel...uneven, and weak (2:01 is supposed to be fortissimo! :P). But even the C major cadence in the first half, and the A minor cadence in the second half..I can barely hear the top note, because it's being overpowered by the bottom notes, as in, the ones being played with your naturally stronger fingers. :P Yeah, you missed a few notes, we all do that, though. :)

  • I'm also playing this piece after 3ish years of formal training. I'm 18 though.

  • im 16 too and i play this piece!

i have some difficult exams next month and i hope i play this piece like u and make a really nice impression!!!!!!

    greetngs from greece!

  • Overall: Good

Try playing it slower until you can play it at a consistent tempo without missing notes. I'm impressed, but a good way to "wow" people who are other musicians is cleanliness...which was missed in some places. And try not to "pound". There was a lot of that going on too.

  • hey , i just started this song and im wondering how many hours each day do you practice and how long ? and good job !

  • I'm playing this song right now and you play really fast and really good. Any advice on how to play this song better? cause i'm not doing a good job at it

  • @Azncrayawn1994

Thanks for the comment; so glad you're also taking interest in this piece!

I'll answer your questions via Youtube email :)

  • Hell! You play really well!!

I tried to play this since I'm 13, I'm 14 now but I still can't play it well......

  • Only 3 years of practice?

I started studing piano since 5 months ago...i'm 16, so i will never play this piece...

    great job

  • I've started playing it around the same time as you, I'm 16 right now as well.

It's easier to imagine yourself playing it if you just slow down the tempo. Like you know on simple pieces, you can play it really fast once you memorize it?

I'm still starting on the easier sonatas though, like k.545 (though for me, it gets really messy on the hard parts)

  • @Sezthser Yeah, maybe

  • @MatheuSRhapsody :

    Hi,

It takes time and many hours of practice. I remember hands on piano for 3-6 hours Saturdays or Sundays during that year (Sophomore in High School).

Just play something when you have time or between HW. A piece of music is always lovable, makes you relaxed and happy =)

    Best,

    Christine

  • ahh man awesome job, i suck at piano but because of you i'll try harder

  • Fabulous! I am returning to piano after 16 years and have just started this piece after seeing David Helfgott play it live on Saturday night. You have inspired me. Love your playing .... hope I can play as good as you can ... again ;)

  • Thank you!

So glad you are returning to piano!!! I can never regret returning myself!!!

No doubt you will own this piece! Good luck

    Christine

  • Great job!!!!!5************

  • great job!! I have to practice this movement again and your video somehow inspired me! I'm currently working on the last 2 movements of this Sonata :) keep playing!

  • Did I really inspire you? so glad! I'm also playing this piece once in a while just to keep it handy.

(I've never managed to finish a whole sonata, just first movements...maybe I should, with your inspiration haha)

    Thanks for your comment!

  • last 2 movements are beautiful! you should consider them someday.. I have to record the whole sonata by november, maybe I'll upload the videos :P

and yes, your playing is pretty good! I only feel you need to improve your tempo consistence (as you may already read here). Try playing in front of any audience (friends, family, etc) more often! that helps to control yourself :) nerves can be incredibly bad if they take control over you! :P experience talking haha..

    keep it up!

  • You are absolutely right, the main thing I need to work on is consistence, it's been hunting me more than technical stuff...

and I freak out the most when it comes to anxiety...

  • it's really good. good dynamics, good technique, and good control. i'm just starting this piece myself, but one criticism i must make is that the tempo isn't consistent through the piece.

  • Thanks for the compliment and criticism, I'm still working on consistence with current pieces. And the nerves keep me away from the right tempo; so many performances have proven that :(.

You'll have lots of fun playing this piece (I still play it several times a week, without any serious practice though).

    Christine

  • Thanks very much for all your comments! Really encouraging!!! =)

    -Christine

  • i just started this piece :D hopefully I will be as good as you

seeing as we're the same level

and I'm at my 3rd year of formal training too

  • Great! I'm sure you will!

    How's the progress now?

  • Well done- just try and keep your timing consistant but otherwise, brilliant :)

  • thank you =)

(I'm still practice this piece every now and then trying to improve on speed management)

  • wow this is a authentic sound. I will play this sonata after the k331. The point is that I want to know as you produce this sound becouse my mozart is gray and i like this sound.....Excuse me my poor english

  • Very musical!! There were some dropped notes, but that can be expected with any public performance (I'm assuming this is a video of a recital). Good job!

  • it's too bad the audio and visual is not aligned

  • Are you chinese or taiwanese? If you are a taiwan girl, I am proud that your working.

Hope that can see your performing in Taiwan one day.

  • Are you making comments about chinese pianists? Chinese will always be superior because all Taiwan is is a bunch of people running away because they 吃不了苦.

  • Well,I know world of music rarely. Therefore, I respect your opinion.Indeed there are many famous chinese pianists.

  • you've been playing the piano for 3 years?

amazing. i wasn't even close to this after my first three years^^

  • love it,nice job.

  • woo hoo...
