  • how much did this build cost? im thinking about doing something similar but cant decide yet awesome car btw

  • @Sk8FalIen Bought the car with 9000 miles in 03, I had the motor built by L&B Engine Development (he builds race motors for the Grand Am series. Got the blower from Jim Bell, of Kenne Bell. Luckily I know all these guys, so I got a great deal. I would say the car has about 25K into it. Only thing stock is the body, interior, radiator, and AC. Everything else is modified. The suspension is all Maximium Motorsports. Tranny was built by Pro Motion. Check out my other videos.

  • How much power are you putting down?I think those are only good to 750 or so..

  • @TheMrhoneycutt about 800 at the crank. Those rods will handle 750 at the tires, thats close to 1000 at the crank. They also have ARP 2000 screws in them.

  • Can those rods handle the power?

  • @TheMrhoneycutt Yes, they are Eagle Forged H beam rods, made of 4341 Forged Steel.

  • You engine isn't built? What psi are you running?

  • @TheMrhoneycutt It is fully built, not even the block is stock. Only stock engine components is the a/c compressor and radiator. lol. Cobra crank, eagle rods, JE pistons, heads are totally done, oversized valves, hi load comp springs.

  • You still have the stock trans in the car?

I'm in the process of building mine and I'm wondering how well the trans will hold.

  • @cheeko1313 While I am using the stock Tremec 3650, it has been totally upgraded by Promotion Powertrain in Florida. It now has a 26 spline input shaft, carbon fiber syncro's, heavy duty gears and clutch. How long your stock tranny lasts will depend on the power you are making. Mine (when stock) was getting weak at 500hp on the old motor.

  • @teamasus Thanks for the response. Mines currently getting 387/387 thrown at it right now. Hopefully I have the funds to upgrade it as well during my build. If not, then when it blows will be when I replace it :D

  • You didn't get their kit?Okay..Thanks man!

  • @TheMrhoneycutt Nope, almost everything on this car is custom. It was a custom setup right from Jim Bell himself.

  • Is this the MPH Kit??

  • @TheMrhoneycutt just the blower is from MPH.

  • Would u recommend those cams for my 04 supercharged gt?..and did you have any pvi?..

    Sounds good by the way!

  • @AdrenalineRush14 Get a nice set of Crower Stage 3 Blower cams and some springs and retainers and you will be good

    1

  • @TheMrhoneycutt It already has custom VT Stage 3 blower cams, Comp High Load springs, titanium retainers, oversized stainless valves.

  • @AdrenalineRush14 depends on which blower you have. Although VT is out of business, the same grind is made by Cushman motorsports. They are designed for big blowers. If you run them with say a P1SC or a KB 2.1, you won't be taking advatage of them. No clearance issues as my pistons are custom. I believe JE -17cc pistons are already fly cut, it will be close but should clear.

  • sounds and looks like a beast

  • it lives

  • With all the money you spent you think you coulda bought a hood , heyna or no?
