I read a lot of science books, and i usually compare the scientific evidences with creationist evidences, and to me, it seems that there is the same amount of evidence for both positions

One cannot argue that they didn't undergo adequate amounts of stress to induce mutation, since the relatively untouched islands of galapagos showcase many species who have demonstrated limited mutations within their kind. In short, there are no places on earth that are safe from a constant barrage of the elements. The lack of mutation is puzzling

Environments don't "induce mutation." Environments favor certain mutations over others. If a species, such as the extremely-rigorous alligator, is of a nature that can withstand harsh environments with little effect, there is no need for adaptation, therefore mutations will not receive genetic favorability.

These are quite puzzling when you think about the types of mutation (fish to amphibians, reptiles to birds, etc.) that take place in the same time span (200-350 million years). That encompasses an entire geologic era! (The Jurassic period was only roughly 50 million years in comparison.) Of course, there is also the issue of mass extinctions due to catastrophic events. Where on earth could they have secluded themselves?

An animal that has changed very little over an expansive time isn't evidence against evolution. Rather, it is an example of how some species have developed to the point of incredible resilience. It took sharks a very long time to become what they are now and have been for millions of years.

Historical documents aren't proof of anything, you're right. They do provide evidence for certain events taking place. Ancient religious books aren't evidence for the supernatural, though. It is quite easy to discern fiction from facts. To accept the supernatural claims of religious books would be like taking Harry Potter and believing it's all true. Common sense tells us it's not.

Really, how much evidence do you need to outweigh the other sides argument that creation explains it all. If evolution is true, then why are there many examples of species that have not mutated over a purported period of hundreds of millions of years? One cannot argue that they didn't undergo adequate amounts of stress to induce mutation, since the relatively untouched islands of galapagos showcase many species who have demonstrated limited mutations within their kind. In short, there are no places on earth that are safe from a constant barrage of the elements. The lack of mutation is puzzling

Environments don't "induce mutation." Environments favor certain mutations over others. If a species, such as the extremely-rigorous alligator, is of a nature that can withstand harsh environments with little effect, there is no need for adaptation, therefore mutations will not receive genetic favorability.

These are quite puzzling when you think about the types of mutation (fish to amphibians, reptiles to birds, etc.) that take place in the same time span (200-350 million years). That encompasses an entire geologic era! (The Jurassic period was only roughly 50 million years in comparison.) Of course, there is also the issue of mass extinctions due to catastrophic events. Where on earth could they have secluded themselves?

An animal that has changed very little over an expansive time isn't evidence against evolution. Rather, it is an example of how some species have developed to the point of incredible resilience. It took sharks a very long time to become what they are now and have been for millions of years.

Historical documents aren't proof of anything, you're right. They do provide evidence for certain events taking place. Ancient religious books aren't evidence for the supernatural, though. It is quite easy to discern fiction from facts. To accept the supernatural claims of religious books would be like taking Harry Potter and believing it's all true. Common sense tells us it's not.
How do those animals and insects defy evolution? Each one has ancestors in the fossil record.
