I am from Bulgaria, study dentistry in Germany. One of the first things I learned, is how dangerous amalgam fillings are. For some years now, it is illegal to introduce amalgam to patients here. with a bachelors in biochemistry, biology, and chemistry, a doctorate in pharmacy, and a personal history that includes a 70 pound weight loss, I have come to many of the exact same conclusions of the Gerson therapy without ever hearing of it. It is nice to hear other doctors confirming what I have learned. My job as a pharmacist now has me spending a significant time health coaching and "preaching" about the importance of a diverse, organic, whole food, (ideally) vegan diet. This stuff works

I'm not convinced, but I'm definitely interested. I would have preferred this film to be a little more heavy on the facts, and lighter on the emotional side of things. Similar to Burzynski. Hearing the narrator say "the boy" this or "the boy" that drove me nuts.
Great documentary!! That is essentially the path I took when I was looking to eat healthy, though I went even further when I asked "Well, why would big industry and the government continue to do this"? (Money, of course).

@tmdavinci the diet does not cure cancer, your body does. Getting rid of toxins, including emotional ones, and putting good nutrition in your body allows for the fighting and ridding the body of cancer and other chronic, degenerative issues. There is no "magic bullet".

Seems that those who don't believe there's a cure for cancer out there are either living in denial or just naive. I agree that money is not in the cure which is the only reason it's not available. I just now became aware of this movie and it was filmed in 2008. I never saw any advertisement whatsoever for it.... gee wonder why.

@eredy lol, I probably eat better than you do, am healthier, stronger and smarter. I definitely didn't say I eat processed meat did I? Look to something like the critique of F over K on rawfoodsos, it may make you rethink your tenuous grasp on reality. Then again, it is a very long read, so...it's probably easier to just have someone tell you "omg it was totally clear based on my preconceived notions and if I ignore the evidence, that animal products were making these people sick".

with a bachelors in biochemistry, biology, and chemistry, a doctorate in pharmacy, and a personal history that includes a 70 pound weight loss, I have come to many of the exact same conclusions of the Gerson therapy without ever hearing of it. It is nice to hear other doctors confirming what I have learned. My job as a pharmacist now has me spending a significant time health coaching and "preaching" about the importance of a diverse, organic, whole food, (ideally) vegan diet. This stuff works

Personally I`m on a low fat vegan lifestyle, I had problem before with breath and dizzy spells, now I can do pretty much anything I want! I have lost about 60 pounds of weight, but size pants from 44 to 36 :)

@khilsabeck11 I have neither liked nor disliked this video and the idea it is true resonates with me, however im highly cynical of anything i see especially on this topic which lead me to google if it was a fraud. quackwatch the website has a section on dr gerson and points to a couple of studies refuting his claims. Please can someone de-debunk this for me as i would love to believe his claims to be true

I'm not convinced, but I'm definitely interested. I would have preferred this film to be a little more heavy on the facts, and lighter on the emotional side of things. Similar to Burzynski. Hearing the narrator say "the boy" this or "the boy" that drove me nuts.

Great documentary!! That is essentially the path I took when I was looking to eat healthy, though I went even further when I asked "Well, why would big industry and the government continue to do this"? (Money, of course).
For those adept people who enjoyed this documentary, I recommend the documentary "Thrive". Incredible film! Also watch "The American Dream". It's a cartoon on YouTube about the Federal Reserve.

@tmdavinci the diet does not cure cancer, your body does. Getting rid of toxins, including emotional ones, and putting good nutrition in your body allows for the fighting and ridding the body of cancer and other chronic, degenerative issues. There is no "magic bullet".

@tmdavinci I am very sorry for your loss. However, you absolutely cannot say that it doesn't effectively treat cancer. Is it an end-all, cure-all? No. Do you think the people here and the thousands of others that have beaten cancer with this type of treatment are all lying? Furthermore, there are many factors and variables that go with this type of therapy, including the placebo effect.

I'm familiar with The China Study (both the book and the actual study. Without getting into a "which diet is better" debate, it's important to get the message from this film as understanding that "the system" is not set up in favor of the greater good. Focus on eating good quality foods, and avoid processed/manufactured/engineered foods
