never mix discus with angelfish. keeping such closely related species together can cause pathogens to move between these two quickly. angelfish often have parasites and pathogens inside of their bodys that they can tolerate that discus cannot.
do you change your water for your discus as much as they recommend? I'm looking into getting some, but water changing is making me feel iffy about getting some discus.
@lilomangoboi Some people recommend about a 30% water change every week but i do mine about every week and a half to two weeks and do about a 30% and my discus seem to be doing fine
What kind of lighting do you have? And that tank is overstocked, but if you can keep the water good enough for discus I don't see why other people need to complain.
Amazing tank!!! I have a 40 gallon tank too with 3 diamond tetras, 6 guppies, 3 red eye tetras and 6 neon tetras. I ve been trying to plant the tank but everytime i try the plants die out. Can you please let me know the exact setup you have along with the plants you have in there. I would really appreciate your help.
dude send me some of that wisteria plant you prly just throw bunches of it away when you trim, i could use some man it would look great with my amazon swords
that would be awesome man i live in ohio. maybe just put it in a zip lock bag with a little water. but yea that would be awesome im subscribing good vids by the way. message me if you could do that ill give you my adress and stuff
ohio hmmm... well if you can cover the shipping cost, i'll send it to you. i might need some heat packs for the box, but i'll check into that and i will send you a message
thanks... the plant is called wisteria. it swill seriously grow in any condition. i gave some to a friend and he has no co2, but decent lighting and it's swarming his tank. i do use a co2 system, but no peat
hey thanks... i will send you a PM with all the info on the tank... if i forget and don't send you anything in the next day or two just remind me... haha
thanks... haha... yea i have no idea why i have never done this tank before. i just cut back a lot of the plants and gave them to people. so the tank looks really different now
lol... thanks rae marie :) there really isn't much to clean. the plants, shrimp, and fish do most of the cleaning and whatever they don't clean the filter and small weekly water changes do the rest.
